A lot of ups and downs for the Hawks in the 2Q. The Blazers outscored the Hawks by 2 in the quarter. The Hawks won the position battle, shot better from 3 but struggled to defend the Blazers w/out fouling. Blazers went 6/10 at the line.

That's the most the Hawks have dropped in an opening quarter this season. The Hawks 13-20 (65%) overall and 5-11 (45%) from 3. Meanwhile they held the Blazers to 41% overall shooting.

This has turned into a bit of a spicy game but the Hawks were abysmal in the third quarter but did just enough to maintain a little bit of a hold.

Officials looked at it and deemed it a common foul because there was no wind up.

CJ McCollum took a hard foul after getting pulled by the arm by Tre Johnson. He stayed down for a while and then Dyson Daniels shoved Jojhnson away and had some words.

McCollum got and did say something to the Wizards bench as he walked away.

The Hawks shot 54% in the second quarter but also let up on the defensive gas, allowing the Wizards to go 11-22 overall.

Things looked a little shakey for the Hawks midway through the quarter as they deployed their second unit. But things calmed down a little with Kispert hitting a pair of 3s off some dishes from Dyson Daniels.

Hawks led by 12 pretty quickly but the margin is down 4, leading to a quick timeout.
