Call me old-fashioned but in my day we took a second to think about whether we were going to kill someone.
I mean, itβs possible to detail stone on steel-frame beautifully; DC is full of it. But yeah, part of me is bracing for this to be more Skopje than John Russell Popeβ¦
Ah right, did that just after asking
Iβm just dying to see the stone detailing on this.
Whereβs the detail Neil?

Recently I saw NZ's Beehive parliament in the flesh, driven by curiosity after @cinemashoebox.bsky.social's twitter parliament culture war. Basil Spence's bit is cool by itself but the way it plays with the classical form it extends is exquisite. Those trads have no idea what they are missing!
I hope he isnβt putting too much effort into a deal that wonβt be worth the paper itβs written on! I hope heβll only sign something heβs willing to see ripped up!
I agree with everything youβre saying Peggy. I think maybe this is a case of different expectations; mine were extremely low after Carneyβs 1st statement, and I was surprised to hear him walk it back and acknowledge that this is an illegal war. Iβm not surprised though with how equivocating he was.
But of course itβs up to the lawyers and judges to decide if it violates the law. Who else? That said, legality and morality are 2 different things, and heβs been silent on the latter. But to come out and say that there is a prima facie legal objection is a step forward, and more than I expected.
Iβm no Carney fan Peggy, but this sounds to me like pretty much the opposite of your interpretation: heβs saying the onus is on the US and Israel to justify this war, and in the absence of a compelling argument it violates international law.

We have been making it very easy for you to learn and build the best possible practices. Keep in mind that we do not sell this; timber-, straw- and earth construction do not fit into the logic of linear capitalist economics. It is different. Circular, open/free, independent, participative, useful.

Mortar. Likely the same mortar they are bedded with. The joint may have been pointed to within a 1/4β or so of the top, and a sealant of some sort applied over it, but I donβt see much evidence of that on the stone.
Revisited some RΓ₯dhuset photos while messing around in Lightroom so youβre getting Asplund on your feed again. I miss him too

the fundamental disagreement about AI seems to be whether it should be liberating and augmentative or whether should be vampiric and supplantive. outside of the companies themselves I donβt understand anyone who is in search of the latter.
Looking forward to this book launch tonight (which features a few of my photographs)
