People don't like Ch 12 because they're weak and can't handle real deal occupation stories. It takes the Sarkaz occupation deeply seriously and I think that gets people out of their comfort zone. 13 has some middle chapter syndrome but there's a lot of good stuff.

The Asuka short was nice. I think it's an interesting reflection on what happiness means for Asuka and how Evangelion is a story about finding happiness in Shinji's framework. I think it's conclusion that Asuka is capable of being/finding happiness as she is is a bit optimistic but I like it
