C'mon, it's fun!
@corpsemonger
Known as "Mike Wasion" to some, comic writer, horror journalist, trash "artist", general menace. Haunted the pages of Fangoria, Gorezone, HorrorHound and Delirium in days past. My newest funny book SLAUGHTERED KINGDOM is out now!
C'mon, it's fun!
Actually, as good a selection as that is, I meant to tell you your new Surgeryhead drop was fukin' great!
I'm buying a gram of molly rock in a few hours...tonight, THERE BE SHENANIGANS AT CORPSE MANOR
That's enough of your shenanigans!
I would like to dadmaxx.
I have paid them.
Who do you think wins in a fight- Frankenstein('s monster), or Bigfoot?
Thanks, Phil. I truly appreciate it.
I echo the above sentiments; I had a regular column (COMIC CASKET) and contributed some features between 2010-2013...I'd be very interested to have a discussion regarding the would-be digital reprinting of that material. My email is mwasion@gmail.com. I'm hoping someone reaches out to get it sorted.
I look forward to the new year by chipping away at a TCM side-quel now one will ever see, that takes place in 1988 between TCM 2 & 3, and sees Leatherface against a kindergarten teacher/local kids' show performer named Mr. Story, who I blatantly based on Bryan Ferry.

Illbleed?!
Picked up the can't-miss double feature of WNUF HALLOWEEN SPECIAL and OUT THERE HALLOWEEN MEGA TAPE (courtesy of Walmart, amazingly enough!), and damn...just top tier shit (as if I had to convince any of you). A massive shout out to @chrislamartina.bsky.social for giving us this immortal treat!
Just PURE 'shock and awe' depravity that hasn't since been approached, let alone topped...
I've been archiving my trading card collection, and in particular my MARS ATTACKS collection...and I am reminded how highkey wild MA was in the 90s...let's jut say that the sick, sardonic, E.C.-comics-on-steroids vibe MA has always trafficked in played VERY well with the berserk, "EXTREME!" 1990s...
Took in a little COVEN tonight at the Strange and Found mini-fest up in ol' Milwaukee. Pictured here in front of the legendary Times theater, cousin Darryn, his woman Pam, and my degenerate ass over there on the right. We are a photogenic lot!
Thoroughly enjoying my "I literally couldn't give less of a shit regarding your opinion" arc. You really hate this thing I love? neat, don't give a shit. You think I'm stupid for liking it? Neat, don't give a shit. You really love this thing I hate? Neat, don't give a fuck. Neither should you. Easy!
A POWERFUL (and brutally short) documentary about the final days of John Hicklenton, one of the most incredible artists I have, or will ever witness. Stricken with MS, Johnny ended his own life humanely, professionally, in 2010. I had always hoped to work with him.

I love America like DemiΓ‘n Rugna loves children
Next on the docket- BLACK PHONE! Finally caught up with this one (because the sequel looks fuckin' awesome), and while I liked it a GREAT deal...I didn't quite love it as I'd hoped. Just TOO many willfully ignored options for escape/self defense for me to turn a blind eye to. Still, Hawke was GREAT.
Next on the docket- V/H/S/HALLOWEEN! The 8th(!) entry in the long running series is "one of the good ones"...but I'm taking this moment to gush solely over its concluding entry, "HOME HAUNT". An instant, 5 star masterpiece, up there with the likes of Safe Haven, Ratmaa, and Stork. BELIEVE THE HYPE!
Next up on the docket- SILENT HILL f. Still playing through it, but so far, terrific stuff. It's both very much Silent Hill, and very much not...sort of like how The Room was, and wasn't a Silent Hill game. SHf is honestly really more of a SIREN game...but that's an apt hallway for SH to take. Wink.
It is indeed a steelbook, and it looks sharp as hell in person!
*TDKR, as in The Dark Knight Returns. Bah, you knew what I meant.
Next up on the docket- ABSOLUTE BATMAN! It took me a little while to get into it, but once I did...holy shit. AB posits the question "what if Joker were Patrick Bateman as CEO of the Umbrella Corporation", and it's as horrifying as you might imagine. This is a Gotham that makes TDR seem cheerful.
So apparently, the censors objected to EVERY bit of head trauma on display. So aside from two pronounced instances- one involving the Uncle Rege ghoul, and a Dawn-level head explosion- it's all trims that excluded virtually every exit wound in the film. It adds up, though...and the B&W intro works.
It's been a while, so let's get up to speed. First on the docket- NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD '90! Savini's remake of Romero's untouchable text has finally reached classic status in its own right, and the semi-restored 35th anniversary 4K thereof is ABSOLUTELY essential...if you can get it. Good luck!
