Including metrics in your resume or UX portfolio does NOT just have to focus on the final outcome.
Metrics can also quantify WHAT you did.
For example, if you did UX Research, how many interviews, how long was each interview etc?
For a Design System, how many components etc were in it?

Do not ever do this under any circumstances. You will be held to the actual contract, not the AI summary, and the AI summary has no way of knowing which terms you might personally care about or have questions about. Dooooo notttttt dooooo thissssss.
I'm obsessed with the UX of Peloton๐โโ๏ธ ๐ดโโ๏ธ ... but not the UX of the bike interface, app etc.
I share more about how Peloton inspired me when I designed the UX of my UX community and job search accelerator, Career Strategy Lab.

One of the most underrated skills you can build is to ADVOCATE for yourself.
Whether itโs:
โ Dealing with doctors
โ Navigating legal situations
โ Asking for a raise
โ Setting boundaries in relationships
If you canโt stand up for yourself, donโt expect others to do it for you.
Ya, so true. The come down factor after checking off a "success" is real.
Say more about how the world (of getting hired) has changed and the cons of that are!
Burnout is not a badge of honor.
Every now and then I see posts from authors, UXers, entrepreneurs, etc who share all the ways they've burnt on their quest to:
- Get the book published
- Build the business
- Advance their career
If success requires burnout, then is it really a success?

Your UX job search isnโt a numbers game.
Itโs a strategy game.
And most UX candidates are playing the wrong one.

UX, or whatever weโre calling it, is not dead.

Whatโs the best UX career advice youโve ever received?

Happy 2025 ๐ I wanted to share a new article I wrote.
Many UX and Product people are unhappy, burned out, & unfulfilled because their identity is too closely tied to their work.
The solution? Expand the sources of happiness in your life.

LOL so true!!!!
Question: I expected I'd be able to follow the "feed" of the Starter Pack.
Is my only option to follow all the people in the Starter Pack?
Or am I missing some obvious way to follow the "feed" of this Starter Pack ๐คทโโ๏ธ
Free UX idea for Zoom ... add a "search" feature to the chat during a meeting.
I was in a Zoom meeting today, and someone tried to find a way to search the chat. And, as far as we can tell, this feature doesn't exist.
