I see you went with ianstormtaylor/slate. Did you ever try ProseMirror? I wonder how feasible it would be…

Lexical was easier than ProseMirror to learn for me, I was achieving more more quickly but soon I started facing limitations.

I guess the learning curve in ProseMirror is worth it. I recommend giving it a try!

The big thing is the (experimental) Environment API: our hope is it can serve as the foundation for frameworks that run code in multiple different JS runtimes.
The internal module runner refactors also pave the way for some interesting things down the road...
