Austrian German (dialect): “Oida?” - translates to “old person” but we use it to express surprise, anger, exasperation and most other emotions. Can be used as a question, statement or exclamation.

Had a serious health scare this year and one of the first things my husband said was "We'll do this together, no matter what happens", and that's exactly what happened. I'm one of the lucky ones.

As an Austrian, I'm looking forward to the party next year. Last time we hosted, Vienna was a rainbow and it was wonderful. I wouldn't have been mad with Estonia winning though, it was so silly and fun.

Woke up from surgery and told the whole team that they were very nice and one nurse in particular was the bestest. I was a bit high, yes, but also: they were all lovely!

I’ve been struggling with intense insomnia for the last couple of weeks and am not allowed to take naps anymore. I’m furious to report that it worked.

If you need a big heap of hope right now, this podcast might be for you. It imagines the future by focusing on positive change and community. I found it incredibly healing and it changed my perspective on what's to come.
