There are are too many games on my "favorites of all time" list that are deeply flawed. And all of them saw spiritual successors trying to fix these imperfections, resulting in a completely different game, regardless of whether it was better or worse.

oh! Yeah that clarifies things. The R^2 = ... is the parameter of the fit (how well it fits the data) and the one with x is the actual function, it's an exponential fit: A Exp(B x)

Confusing. The caret is exponentiation, but then there's a 2 superscript as well. My guess is this: R^2 times exp(0.136 x)=0.9. But how did you generate this? It also looks like the label to a fitting plot, so 8976⋅exp(0.136x) is the line, and R^2=... is the fitting parameter.

I printed it and stuck self-adhesive copper tape to it. There's copper tape with conductive adhesive so you can add multiple overlapping pieces and it counts as one conductive surface.
Then I used the second part of the mold to shape the copper, so that it sticks inside the recessed traces.
Then I used sandpaper to file away at the raised ridges. The copper traces are now electrically independent of each other. Done!
But if I want, I can remove the extra copper tape.
The companion mold at the bottom. This second 3D-printed part pushes the copper tape down into the recessed trace channels so it conforms to the shape. The two parts sandwich together with alignment spikes to keep everything registered.

Adobe Illustrator on top (you can use any free tool that makes SVG vector files. I just own an old illustrator version.
Bottom: the PCB Forge tool I made
I made a tool that turns PCB designs into 3D-printable molds. you sandwich copper tape between the parts, sand the ridges, and you have a real working PCB. no etching, no chemicals. I am losing my mind

Somehow I missed their new game's launch completely. I didn't even know there was a new game on the horizon. Anyway, it's in my library now. One of the few developers that get this "buy first see what it is later" from me.

I've seen some similar projects, but IMO this seems to better capture some of the fine-grained detail

Pois então, considerei a possibilidade já. Até trouxe um microfone melhor. Mas agora além de escrever posts que ninguém lê, eu vou editar vídeos que ninguém vai ver haha
Mas vou ver. Vou adaptar alguma postagem pro YouTube

Working on a single header library for multi-scale coordinate system. It just handles coordinates. I made this test with #raylib and it's pretty much done, I think. Now I can make my game about a bacteria traveling through someone's body all the way to another galaxy #gamedev #C

The whole point of the library is to abstract coordinate system complexities when dealing with multi-scale frames. Space sims need this stuff. So you can move around on the surface of a planet, kicking pebbles, jump on a ship, fly to another planet, then another galaxy.

I got a lot of mileage out of my physics library, Ballbox. It simplified my game engine a lot! I'm now working on breaking another piece of my engine into another single header library, called RefFrame (reference frame). I'll make something useful for others and simplify my own engine. win-win

Planet-scale rendering is hard. Tried all kinds of approximations and adapting the usual strategies to the world of SDF and ray marching. I solved it with a conceptually simpler method of rewriting the sphere SDF in a numerically stable way, but algebraically equivalent. #math #CGI #gamedev #shader

a text post that says:
I installed switches on my car's dash that don't do anything.
When someone gets in my car I look them in the eye, say "buckle up," and start flipping switches in what appears to be a purposeful order.
Then I'll drive like a grandma while refusing to answer any questions about the switches
