Thanks to the great work of a contributor, the long-requested Lookahead functionality is now available for 2D scenes.
Another key change is a refactor of Framed Follow 2D, which should make it a lot more reliable.
3D counterparts of both are in the works for a future release.

Other than that I would recommend looking through more complex plugin code like Dialogic for instance and see how they organised that code. Really depends though on what type of plug-in you want to create.

weapon gameplay + fx prototype wip, knockback plus ground damage over time. still some visual clarity issues with targets in the aoe to fix, but I like the colors. rendered with a custom decal shader to give it a volume/parallax effect #godot #gamedev

Honestly, AI slop PRs are becoming increasingly draining and demoralizing for #Godot maintainers.
If you want to help, more funding so we can pay more maintainers to deal with the slop (on top of everything we do already) is the only viable solution I can think of:

Godot's GitHub has increasingly many pull requests generated by LLMs and it's a MASSIVE time waster for reviewers β especially if people don't disclose it. Changes often make no sense, descriptions are extremely verbose, users don't understand their own changesβ¦ It's a total shitshow. #godotengine
