I want it to be done and finished, I want it to have an ending. It’ll just take a bit more time.

If you have listened to the show, thank you. It means more than you know. 18 year old me could have never expected so many of you to be out there interested in my little story.

DITV will have one last season. It’s coming to its natural conclusion, I just need to figure out what that is 😅 I also have other shows at a higher priority right now (because they pay, unlike DITV) but I promise I have not forgotten this story.

There are gods and wars and love and life and I have so many more stories to tell. I love this universe I’ve created.

I wanted to share my love of clue, make a mystery I would have fun unraveling, and just make a show I wanted to listen to.

I’m expanding this world with more stories, and sometimes there are little one off details that’ll tie it all together.

I am proud of what I have made, flaws and all. 18 year old me wanted to see more queer representation in shows after watching so many beloved characters get killed off (the 100 was a big one).

Making this show has introduced me to some of the most fantastic people I know. It’s let me talk at conferences, travel, and make amazing art. I learned how to compose music for it, which is now one of my favorite things to do. And I get paid to do it sometimes!

I don’t regret making this show though. I know I’ve messed up a lot, but I’ve learned a lot too. And I enjoy the story! I made this show for me! Sometimes it feels like someone else wrote it, but it’s me. This story came from my head.

Bonus: my health is very different than it was nine years ago, so that adds extra chaos to producing.

I still am figuring out where the show is going, and if I was to do it all over again I’d make a lot of changes. I know there will be one last season but I need to figure out how it ends still.

Details were added that went nowhere, parts of the story keep dragging on when they should have ended a long time ago. Today I’m still dealing with the consequences of that 🥲

Here’s where I messed up:
I had a cast before I had anything written, I was releasing episode by episode as they were getting done, I didn’t really know where I wanted the show to go, and I’m really scared to kill characters off.

And let me tell you, I had no idea what I was doing. Like, zero idea. I knew where I wanted season 1 to end, but not much else. And so I dove in head first! What could go wrong?

I started DITV (Dining in the Void) the summer after I graduated high school. I was freshly 18, starting my first long term part time job, and I had a story I wanted to tell.
