“I oppose the war but I voted to fund it because I had no choice” will be the talking point of too many.
Kelly: "You could pick a random group of people off the street tonight here in DC and they could probably do a better job than our government is doing right now. They don't have a goal, there's no strategic plan. And what this is likely to lead to is, again, a long war with a lot of dead Americans."
Get this! Only 27% of Americans, and just 14% of independents, said they trust Trump to make the right choices when it comes to the use of military force abroad.
Devastating numbers for Trump.
From a strategic standpoint, Trump has no idea what he's trying to do, why he's doing it, let alone how.
He's just pathetic.
Personally, I don’t believe anything that comes out of that man’s mouth, even if it’s just his name.
I don’t think it’s right for long-time allies to end ties over one ego-driven, childish leader. Rulers pass, but countries and people endure. The UK staying out is the smart move, learn from Iraq.
He is incapable of telling the truth.
Trump lies multiple times every day.
Every damned day.
And the Magabillies eat it up.
I used to wonder what horrors could possibly be uncovered in the Epstein files that we didn’t already know about. Now I know about depravity on an unimaginable scale that went on for decades and one of the worst offenders is the sitting President of the United States.
I will approve if he goes.
Security means law first, not blind loyalty, learn from Iraq.
War with Iran without Congress is unconstitutional and reckless.History, from Iraq to Afghanistan, shows bombs don’t build stability. Congress has been lazy and careless on too many issues, we all know that. But this is about saving American troops’ lives. Do your damn job.
If true, Congress must lead, not foreign pressure. War powers belong to the American people.
Join the club, my friends and I started it long ago. We call it “Forget Congress.”
Reckless leadership puts troops at risk. They deserve better.
The entire Republican party knows Trump is deranged, but they keep supporting him for various reasons, some out of greed, some out of fear of retribution, and some because they are ashamed to admit that he made fools out of them.
He did not have congressional approval to blow up boats in the Caribbean
He did not have congressional approval to kill the survivors of those strikes
He did not have congressional approval to invade Venezuela
He did not have congressional approval to bomb Iran
This is dictatorship. Impeach now
Donald Trump took the United States to war today, killing Iranian school children and risking the lives of people in America's military.
He is currently yucking it up at a fundraiser.
He's a shallow, glib person without any regard for the serious consequences of his lies, scams, and incompetence.
Hard to argue
The real question: will they grow a spine and actually do what’s needed to stop this madness?
Here's my answer to the question in the headline: they should govern it...by not resorting to it. By sidestepping its use. By going on without it. By. Not. Using it. AI can be manipulated and you can be fed falsehoods and you could spread them to millions of people before you realize. Don't use it.
Claiming “exoneration” without trial or evidence is gaslighting.
Dictators don’t justify lawless war.
Trump’s wars kill children while he plays politics. Schools shouldn’t be battlefields, and the U.S. must stop enabling this brutality. Congress must act, no more blood for power.
Threats abroad while dodging accountability at home, classic deflection move.
It’s a free pass for the rich to trash our neighborhoods.
"Sometimes you have to” isn’t a strategy. It’s not a plan, it’s a shrug.
