He is a very dangerous predator
Such a satisfied smile!
An accurate - and quite brilliant - summation

Every time I think tr__p cannot be more gross or more disrespectful to the military, he goes and does something new.
A piece of slime as Commander in Chief.

I love this!
The Jan. 6 plaque honoring police was just installed in the Capitol β at 4 a.m.:
Three years since Congress ignored its own deadline, the memorial plaque recognizing the service of law enforcement on Jan. 6 is finally on display in the very building they defended from a mob of Trump supporters.
Another Stand Up for Science in the books! Thank you so much to our wonderful speakers, including @markpoloncarz.bsky.social, and everyone who came out despite the crappy weather!

This is an idea that @ellen-friedman.bsky.social is always on about. After you get data, draw a picture and pull back to understand what *else* the data is saying to you.

In 2020 lockdown, Ted and I named different areas in the house or garden as though they were different restaurants.
"Would you like to have breakfast at Wisteria Lodge?" etc.
Beautiful photo, Glen.
Ted says the real trick to a great photo like this is to lure the woodpecker into the photo studio where you have the special lighting effects already set up π
What a beautiful spot!
Not quite so well done but our wisteria also on pergola over wooden deck by back door. I had no idea 1st time I experienced the explosion. Another big concentrated one a few yrs later: I donned bike helmet & sat under wisteria π Ted laughing as seeds zinged by or pinged me.

Well done. I particularly like the foreground reflections
I wondered if our photos might have been in roughly same spot.
In fact, I think my photo of sea lions in the waves was also taken about fifty feet to the right on my second photo! π
I love your posts here on bsky. Please keep them coming!
When I lived there (~ 250yrs ago π) I loved walking along cliffs & beach. I think I knew every rock of "my" beach
But that beach break in LJ can be brutal, especially at Wind 'n Sea, where I lived. So when I wanted to go in the water, I went north to Torrey Pines
SOooo lucky to have been there
Well done, Phil.
Completely understand the conflicting emotions. Thank you for caring for what is good.
The moon going from full moon to a red moon and starting to go back to a normal full moon, then my camera battery door fell off.
Here's my first edit on the March 3rd Lunar Eclipse. 15 moon shots, 1 foreground. Taken over a 3 hourish period.

Photo of blue-green ocean with breaking white-capped waves. Inside the wave, several sea lions are visible. The sea lions are surfing the waves. La Jolla CA. Photo by Ellen Friedman Aug 2024.
Photo of beach and ocean in La Jolla, CA, viewed from the sandstone cliffs. Ocean is blue in distance and turquoise near beach. White-capped wave is breaking at the beach. Upper right is large rock/sandstone protrusion into the water. Sea lions are basking in sun on that rock. Foreground shows bright green sea fig with a few yellow blooms. Great photos!
I used to live a few blocks from there (when I was a post doc at UCSD)
Visited last 2 summers. Love seeing these guys catch waves & then "boast" about it π
My photos not as good as yours but good prompts to recall the day
