Progress so far this week on the way towards a beta demo: Enemies have their different projectiles now, so i have a lot of flexibility going forward when it's time to iterate and jam content.

Holy crap this looks awesome!
Our next game is Verminsteel!
You're a bird with a broadsword, kicking thousands of fascists so hard they fly into the sun
PLEASE go wishlist it, it'll make me really happy and help me stop low-key panicking and stuff: store.steampowered.com/app/4352280/... #indiegame #indiedev #gamedev
I have an updated version of the demo in Steam Next, check it out!
Halloween wasn't that long ago in candy terms right? I guess it depends on the candy
if it didn't go brown as fuck, would you really trust it as true guac though
One niche that I am ever thankful to indies for keeping alive is the on-rails shooter.
DEMO LIVE!!๐จ๐
Wild Blue Skies is playable right now at Steam Next Fest. On-rails shooter action. Branching paths. Boss fights. Bowie's confidence. Roe's standards. Thorne's ego. Chuck's wholesome energy. It's all there.
Go play it. ๐ฎ

I don't expect them to build out, they'll take a wait-and-see approach for a couple of years, so as not to throw money into new factories if there's a burst. In the meantime they'll keep selling out orders for year(s) in advance. Bad news for accessible, affordable tech. Sucks.
Are the memory/flash and storage companies actually going to ramp up production capacity over the next 3 years? Or are they expecting the AI bubble to burst too, and don't want to expand production to the tune of billions and then be stuck holding the bag if it bursts in that time period?

The erratic tarriff policy has been struck down at the Supreme Court.
So prices will come down now that the often absurdly high, arbitrary tarriff taxes that were passed onto consumers is removed, right?
right?
(and on the flipside the KS projects that "blow up" and end up getting a huge amount of broader/wider attention will end up with a ton of positive reviews from people who hear about it later [assuming the game is good ofc] and get into the hype)
I agree with your analysis, and I think it mostly applies to "moderately successful" kickstarter projects, ie ones that reach a goal but don't get blown up to a wider audience to really notice them. ie reaching their avid fans who back the KS and receive keys but don't get broader market attention
This is great because you're supporting devs/games you like, but you're also creating your own gaming 'wine cellar' to select games from when the right mood/circumstance/time arrives when/if it does! note: i don't actually know anyone with a wine cellar but it's a fun analogy
sometimes you just gotta appreciate your own sprites when they come out so well
BREAKING: PlayStation is shutting down Bluepoint Games, the studio responsible for modern remakes of classic games such as Demon's Souls and Shadow of the Colossus, Bloomberg News has learned.
A shocking end for a well-respected studio.
Drawing explosions is addictive. You start getting the hang of it, your explosions start getting gradually more and more satisfying.. you can't stop
This is very cool to see!
(I mean, on top of the fact that it 100% looks like Sonia in all the gameplay sequences)
That was my first thought. It's gotta be! I mean they show trevor in that cutscene at the end, but then they cut to the other character who looks to be Sonia...
Love to see a new 2D castlevania game too. When was the last one? Mirror of Fate on the 3DS?
It's great to see big franchises get smaller scope games that try something different
new 2D pixel art God of War prequel? This is awesome.
Suda51 game with scores in the 4/10 and 9/10 you know what that means? ๐๐ค

Yea, the situation is madness, especially if you dig just a little bit to see what's causing this shortage. Insanity.
