My mistake! It's been a long day, I promise I got it right on the day!
For an interview lesson I explicitly taught that coordinates and a horizontal part called the ordinate and a vertical part called the abscissa.
Teaching abscissa got some funny looks hahaha
We have an hour a week with our form groups going over our curriculum.
Last school I worked at just tried to fit it in with regular form time.
Looking for volunteers to test an Edexcel Paper 1H I have made for 2025 practice. Hoping the usual suspects are about... 😉

I'm going to have to badger my hod to let us do that, my classes loved the GCHQ puzzles this week but had no idea about Alan Turing or the Enigma Machine 😭
Cryptography is the biggest one for me, especially it's relevance to computer science and history. It's a shame it isn't in the curriculum!
