Check out my thoughts on Never Grave: The Witch and the Curse with my new video on The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly in Never Grave!

Yep this tracks.
#slaythespire2
After playing a few hours of Slay the Spire 2, it's already very familiar. Most of the cards, enemies, and playable characters are pulled straight from the original.
BUT the toolkits feel more polished, there's more content, and some of the new enemy designs are a bit more "off the wall crazy."
any Spire Slayers out there?
On the one hand, this means I'm much less likely to play future Sony titles.
On the other hand, I've never gotten around to MOST of the Sony titles that released on PC later.
Looking back, I don't think Highguard was hurt by Jeff/TGA. I think they needed a successful release to finish the game, and didn't have enough finished game to compete in the live service shooter space.
"One more thing" was a hail mary, and unfortunately it didn't work.
Steam community requesting additional body types for added immersion.
A large block of sentient tofu
Steam community: βCan we play as a male character?β
Me (indie dev in this economy):
βBest I can do is sentient tofu.β
I've been following Crowsworn since the original kickstarter. High hopes for that one.
March is looking PACKED. My short list of games needs a short list.
Slay the Spire 2 (Early Access)
Never Grave: The Witch and the Curse
Solasta II (Early Access)
Solateria
Crimson Desert
Nova Roma (Early Access)
Grime II
Surely I won't get sucked into any of the Early Access games for 100+ hours.
My highlights are Vampire Crawlers, Solateria, and Alabaster Dawn.
Slay the spire fight against the weird creature that has a ton of health but every time you hit it it gets weaker, it dies automatically after a few turns. I have it so itβs obvious that I am now able to kill it with my regular damage because I have a freakish build
Only real slay the spire freaks will appreciate this
Get to know me through the games I play each month.

I either just made a great decision, or a terrible decision. I bought Blacksmith Master, 9 Kings, and Against the Storm from @hoodedhorse.bsky.social.
Since I spent almost 100h playing the menace EA...this is probably a terrible decision.
I've always thought more games should be available everywhere. So I'm disappointed to hear the rumors of Sony pulling back on PC releases for their first party games.
Especially now when hardware prices are rising, needing a PC, Xbox, PS5, and Switch 2 is a big ask.
All Next'd out after trying about 20 demos, but it was a good run. Tons of great stuff and a few things that (with a bit of polish) could be good as well. Thoughts soon (and by soon I mean tomorrow).
The games industry has reached an inflection point.
Games are getting too expensive to make, too expensive to buy, and yet the line must always go up. AI slop is infesting the industry. There's gonna be a crash and some big changes.

Alabaster dawn introduces its world/story, goes over the tutorial and gives you time to get a feel for combat all in under 10 minutes.
Excellent intro!
I've been seeing a lot of clearly ChatGPT reviews on steam recently too. Makes me wonder if the point is to fake engagement for the game or if people are just that far gone they can't describe what they like (or dislike) without a plagarism bot.
**Grime II
More games:
Black Jacket reminds me of Inscryption in that I think someone else is going on the game hasn't told me about.
Grim II, why do I keep hitting RT instead of B? I've played too many roguelikes recently (also the game is neat, dropping the stamina bar is interesting).
Another demo update. Played some Monster Hunter Stories and so far the game seemed more my style. What I liked about the MH World was... the world itself, the ecology/environment. Less the "kill X monster Y more times for Z new hat" that it became at endgame.
Another demo that's gonna be worth talking about. Solateria. How would I describe it in 4 words?
Ori Knight With Sekiro Parry.
Oops that was 5 words.
Which ones have you tried?
So far I've played:
- Vampire Crawlers (great)
- Crystalfall (rough around the edges/a bit derivative of PoE)
- How many dudes? (good time)
- Wander Burg (cool idea, needs to cook more)
@vampire.poncle.games
Trying Vampire Crawlers, and it is the Slay-The-Vampire-Not-Sequel I didn't know I needed in my life.
The evolutions get a foil effect!
Same.
Are you an indie dev? Maybe you just like demos. Reply with stuff for me to check out during Steam NEXT!
youtu.be/K5dnF1V3BlM Videogame demos used to be a major feature of the gaming landscape, but after several decades spent in cultural irrelevance, they're finally coming back - but why? What's caused the modern indie resurgence of a very retro format?
So I found out that a F2P (skeptical already) Might & Magic TCG released into Early Access (sus) a couple days ago...
It's a NFT game... that's right in 2026, Ubisoft released a Might & Magic NFT game. That's impressively out of touch.
It's starting to feel like we're at the end of an era in regards to video games.
