The troubles
Middle aged man smiling in Portmerion while standing on a large chequered floor
I am happy!
MRI on my bonce this morning just to check on the state of things before my next chemo cycle (starts on the 9th). Feeling very well so not overly anxious theyβll find anything extra in there - but itβs always a concern.
Enjoying some of the greatest music ever written over here. Glorious! I need to see this in person. Even better: playing it!
So sorry Moose. Much love from our house to yours.
Watching Nuremberg. Russell Crowe is amazing in this! Didnβt even realise it was him earlier in the film
Glenny always delivers. Love this post!

Loving Amsterdam! What a brilliant, beautiful city. The Van Gogh museum is a particular delight.
Anyway, back into my shell. Family time this week. No politics!
Meant to quote that. Same in the UK. Real change is so difficult because weβre βledβ by visionless suits who are slaves to corporate needs
I do think thereβs a certain type of Democrat that realizes itβs possible we are dealing with a perfect storm where almost any Democrat will win, and are terrified we might nominate radical candidates who will actually engage in needed change instead of status quo corporate centrist bullshit.
Off on the coach to London this morning, then Eurostar tomorrow to Amsterdam. First time visit! Very excited
Matt Weston. Yeeeeeeeeesssssssss!
Thanks! Heβs a blue & tan short hair :)

Ronnie, my dachshund enjoying some rare sunshine! Warmer today too. Back under his blankets soon after this
Iβm awake early again. Thank you Dexamethasone! Drinking coffee & listening to prog rateyourmusic.com/release/albu...
I hope everyoneβs day goes well. I can see sunshine!
Loving this album! Good vibes throughout. My favourite band discovery in 2025 - Seawater is such a superb album - and these older songs are brilliant too.
Yorkshire band, so of course theyβre good

Looks like Iβm having a sweary day. The current news cycle seems conducive to making me cross about a lot of things. Time to turn it off & find things I enjoy - like listen to the new Mostly Autumn compilation album (which is great)
Well. Jim Radcliffe can get royally fucked. Utterly objectionable opinion. If you agree with him, feel free to get lost too. Iβve got no time for xenophobic idiots
I love the Winter Olympics. So much going on! Brave idiots willfully attempting to injure themselves in entertaining ways
Ilia Maakinin: just - wow!
Looks like Iβll be digging my Seahawks beanie out of my hat box then
Loving having Gladiators on my Saturday Night Tv. Perfect weekend telly! Wouldnβt it be great to have Superstars back too! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superst...
β¦and this one from 11 years ago. Love the old ladies from Dinnington in particular. Great to see Duncan Beckley here. RIP maestro
Terrific little brass band documentary here: love this insight into this band & the people that make it. Love my brass bands youtu.be/iifJ4h4hFR4?...
So pleased itβs worked out like that! Love them both!
Falling in love with Slow Horses. One of those unique shows with charm. So good! Gary Oldman is brilliant in particular!
Itβs been an absolutely wild week. Iβm so proud to share this earth with all of you who are finding hope and joy and community no matter how dark the times.
