Well this is terrifying. I have seen ads for "ai" branded towards HCWs etc doing the notetaking and other things and I was like oh thats terrifying, is it that stuff?
Also does the GDPR right to not be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing come into play here at all?

Russian gas and Gulf Oil are both, by now, very largely replaceable by solar (and wind).
We have to do this anyway to stop the planet from killing us.
It is the most obvious solution to a problem.
I thought we'd never be able to top Miggledy, but by Jesus she's giving it a right go
When theres absolute shenanigans afoot and its eating up yer mental space but you cant talk about it publicly yet and hence you cant even enjoy the cathartic release of a full on vent of a social media post that nobody will read.
I am like a shaken up bottle ready to burst.
100% woolen gifts for foreign dignitaries, but zero support to make the wool industry sustainable or profitable for Irish sheep farmers? Sounds about FFG.

I remember Judith Heumann in a Crip Camp q n a that ME action held, she (gently) advised pwme to stop waiting /hoping for able bodied people, and look to organise with other disabled people. It was good advice and I joined my local disabled person org as consequence of that talk.
So they are making the parents decide which one of their children are denied their rights? Thats messed up. No mention of rights here. Both children are entitled to a mainstreamed education with the supports they need . Its not commedable or nice to provide places, its an obligation of the state.
You know the best way to kill AI? Don't use it. Don't buy it. Don't share it. Don't give the people who use it your labour or your money.

Over the next few weeks we'll see MicheΓ‘l Martin's White House visit framed as a very difficult task, something he'll need his wits about him to get through, & one that requires no small amount of seriousness & diplomacy.
When really it's a fascist enabling jaunt he should have rejected outright
That ladys laugh is fantastic lol!
Aside from the obvious trump stuff I love the idea that that wan came to Ireland , specifically the north of Ireland to get away from politics and was surprised when the first question asked was to establish which community she was from. π
"Uplift says the abolition of the Triple Lock will see Irish troops becoming more and more aligned to military action led by NATO, and that this will erode Irelandβs neutrality."

If ff/fg get their way with undermining our neutrality, this puts otherwise well regarded Irish military at total odds with Irish public. People are proud of them specifically as peacekeepers. A support the troops mindset isn't remotely ingrained in our psyche. It's absolutely conditional.
If what the President said was obviously wrong, why is the cabinet minister remaining anonymous? Why don't they proudly step up and defend the indefensible? Because Catherine Connolly isn't wrong. She's speaking the truth and cowards are afraid we'll piss off the liars.

I dont need some hallmark card, patronising day, I need ongoing awareness of the systems of oppression, ongoing respect and acknowledge for the women working to dismantle them being showed through actions and some very bloody real changes to our material conditions.
Then the tokenism of rounding all the women for a pr thing, in even left organisations, it only emphasis how the rest of the time, its a choice how often women and the issues that primarily impact them lead out and platformed. It seems to reinforce othering of women rather then address it.
Ill add even the celebrating "famous woman from history" educational stuff, often doesnt celebrate their work just sort of hey look hers a famous lady we could mention, and they get the nelson mandela/ helen keller treatment and are depoliticised from the ideas they held and the work they did.
Somehow the day to recognise this, now entirely erases the work , the labour that women contribute. Saying women are great in a vague way that doesnt highlight or focus on their work ends up n equates women of power and privilege upholding systems of inequality to those working to dismantle them.
Its weird ppl have awkwardly taking to wishing me happy womens day. I dont need a day to be acknowledged for being born a random gender in a sorta patronising way? This day should be folks ensuring they recognise the contributions of women in the movement, labour, equality etc. 1/
What a surprise from a party that was formed to stop women getting more rights
