Yea I always kept licensed games away with a ten foot pole but I've kept seeing it pop up in conversation over the years. I gotta lock in with it!
You've sold me.
I was fucking obsessed with the Bucky O'Hare toys. I should draw more (and actually play the game)

Got one this morning and when I looked at their replies (because they're only making replies) I saw they're suspended from X and came here, (which has got to be an accomplishment because what do you have to do to be moderated on that site)
There's a certain kind of unprompted, "just asking questions" reply that I occasionally get from accounts that don't follow me that immediately tells me they suffer from critical levels of Xitter debate poisoning.
Side eyeing every artist who kept an active account on The Pedophile Site so that they could do free spec art for a video game made by a global multimedia corporation.
I'm fortunate enough to be able to be picky with how I spend my time and the people I work with are Very Good People. That's very important to me.
Did work for someone (dunno if they wanna be tagged but you know who you are) who sent a contract with a "you will use no AI" clause and that actually made me lock in.
Probably took very little time to add that but the gesture signified the integrity of a Real One.
ppl who still commission their favourite artists even in this era where everyone is broke and genAI is being pushed on us at every opportunityβyou are appreciated more than words can express!!!
Let ye who has not bitched about customers/clients skeet the first stone but also maybe don't bitch where people can hear you lol I think that's a reasonable policy to have if your company is a social media platform
Between this, Ruffle, and damn near the entirety of 90's/2000's internet culture, Newgrounds has done more for Flash than Adobe ever will.
This is pretty impressive. Opening and editing flash files is an impressive arrow in the quiver.
In lieu of hiring a PR team maybe have a social media policy? Or just a private slack/discord to kvetch?
There's a reason restaurant staff don't have lunch breaks with the customers.
Bluesky staff should install a curtain to hide behind.
I feel like a social media company should maybe have a social media policy.
Ew with the wood teeth and everything??
Had a real "should've happened to me" moment today.
In the future, more people should consult me, the main character of the universe, before they make decisions.
Thanks.
*walks into a burger joint* do people still eat burgers or is this free real estate or what
Oops I had a few more feelings
Some of the samples and feats in The Mountain are pretty darn old (Bobby Womack left us 12 years ago. Hopper's samples had to be over 20 years old) and never used. There's a love in preserving ghosts.
These feats are so much more human than some techbro parlor trick
And these recordings are echoes of the dead, literally and metaphorically. The dead are never fully gone, they've left footprints on the earth. The Mountain has so many thoughts and feelings about life and death and it says it through the actual words of the departed, not some wack AI Tupac bullshit
Thinking about the AI comment:
A lot of companies have pushed "listen to AI of your dead grandma", or used AI to make "new" music of dead artists (hey Drake).
The Mountain has at least six deceased artists (by my count) but they're actual, unreleased recordings/samples... (1/2)
I'll stop spamming it when they stop getting hit.
