Middle East conflict needs seriousness, not political games' 'While opposition parties seek to undermine Britain on the world stage, my Labour government is focused on protecting people at home', the PM writes for The Sunday Mirror

Keir Starmer: "I know many people across our country are worried about the impact of the Middle East conflict on the cost of living.

My Labour government is on your side, focused on protecting your families and acting in the national interest."

I wonder if a drone has hit Dubai Marina. Or whether it was just
debris from a successful interception.

If only loads of Dubai based accounts, including Isabel Oakeshott's, could tell me.

Right-wing media, Reform and Tories all betrayed us this week. They couldn’t bring themselves to back the govt or our country because it would mean putting their nasty, point-scoring, twatty politics aside for the greater good. They exposed our post-Brexit weakness and their own toxic incompetence.

"For Kemi Badenoch to suggest they’re β€˜just hanging around’ - to score political points - insults the men and women of our Armed Forces. She should apologise and withdraw her comments."

John Healey: "I was on the ground in our British base in Cyprus yesterday.

I saw how our British forces are working round the clock, in the face of repeated air raid sirens, to protect British lives and British interests."

Our Armed Forces keep us safe at home and abroad.

Yet Kemi Badenoch says our brave RAF pilots are just "hanging around".

She must apologise.

Calvin Bailey MP: "As a former Wing Commander, I can tell you, our brave RAF pilots are not just β€œhanging around” when they put their lives at risk to save others. The words you’re looking for Kemi Badenoch are β€˜Thank you’

Serious times require serious politicians and you’ve just failed the test."

So, Johnson, Farage, Badenoch, the Telegraph… howl about the UK being β€œan irrelevance on the world stage”.
Remind me again who decided to isolate us with a strategically and economically idiotic Brexit, relying on a trade deal with the US to save us from exactly the kind of weakness they now bemoan.

Farage work’s tirelessly for #Clacton Constituents flying 4,500 miles for diner with Trump to lobby him over the Clacton Deal… Checks notes

Sorry.. bloody dyslexia, I’ll do it againπŸ‘‡πŸΌ

Farage does sweet FA for Constituents, flying 4,500 miles purely for a self promo stunt to kiss King Trump’s ring❗️

It is incredible how many people believe Keir Starmer has broken every manifesto pledge, all because he hasn't abolished the HoL in the past eighteen months, among other things. A manifesto is a five-year plan; just because they haven't achieved something yet does not mean a promise has been broken.

07.03.2026 14:42 πŸ‘ 18 πŸ” 2 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 1

These people are so blinded by their hatred of Keir Starmer that they insist that an independent fact-checker is somehow just making things up about manifesto pledges achieved. I dunno, but I will believe an independent fact checker over people with axes to grind, all because their dear leader lost.

They get on my wick those shouting just re-join the EU in full but give not 1 thought to what he EU & their 27 Nations think about that
Such Political naivety to think the UK can just walk right back in and sit down at the top table, and it is that naivety that got us where we are in the 1st place.

I hear Kemi has had a brainwave.

After years of Tory austerity that weakened our armed forces, the answer now is to scrap plans to lift the two-child cap and make the poorest children pay for it.

🧡 This has to be the funniest Brexit moment yet.

The Brexit-loving brigade spluttering into their cornflakes as they discover The Telegraph has been sold to a German media company.

The irony is spectacular.

It’s weirdly amusing to watch so many people willingly pretend they don’t understand the decisions the govt is making, because β€œNo, *I* hate Starmer the most!” is a doom loop they’re trapped in.

NYC mayor not banned from UK – Full Fact A series of videos shared on social media falsely claim that Zohran Mamdani said the UK has β€œlost its moral compass”, prompting Keir Starmer to ban him from the UK.

Videos shared online falsely claim Keir Starmer banned New York mayor Zohran Mamdani from the UK, after Mr Mamdani supposedly said the UK had β€œlost its moral compass” at an event they both attended.

But no such event happened, and he hasn’t been banned.

100 schools cutting bills with Great British Energy solar panels 100 schools across England now cutting energy bills with Great British Energy solar panels.

The first 100 schools are benefitting from cheaper energy bills, thanks to our work with DESNZ and GB Energy. We'll reach 250 by Summer.

Every penny saved will go straight back into our children’s education to support pupils to achieve and thrive.

You can thank the Tories (and by default Reform) for making Britain vulnerable militarily.

You can also blame our media who never questioned, never interrogated and let it go unchallenged.

The one person you can’t blame is Keir Starmer.

REFORM UK WELSH MANIFESTO COSTED

It's another Reform UK manifesto that's all about promises and claims to be cost-neutral, but the numbers in here suggest a Β£200–250m annual deficit plus large infrastructure costs.

Labour Wins Murton By-Election Seat from Reform in Durham!

In the Murton ward by-election, Labour's Julie Ann Griffiths took 1,004 votes to beat Reform’s Theo Samuel Bell's 786 votes.

Kemi Badenoch accused our Armed Forces in Middle East of "just hanging around".

Rightly called out by Charlie Stayt.

The Tories have made their view on our Armed Forces perfectly clear. No wonder they cut them to the bone.

Given the unanimous reporting of our media wanting us to join an illegal war the citizens of this country are not buying it.

Have the media barons pushed the public too far? I do hope so. I think their anti Starmer rhetoric has worn very thin.
