No mention of benefits. No clear rights. No paid time off.
Why does the California Department of Public Health think only English-speaking workers deserve knowledge about their legal protections?

I guess we keep waiting to see what will happen with NOAA. I am worried they are next. No NOAA and no FEMA.
π I feel like every year we have another βthis isnβt normalβ season (or seasons) and we need all the data and help we can get. Thanks for always helping us manage the data we do have.
NYT Alert that says: Hollowing Out FEMA: More than a dozen senior leaders at the disaster agency have been fired or have quit under President Trump, weeks ahead of hurricane season.
Are we going to be okay this hurricane season? π
@mattlanza.bsky.social What are your feelings on this? Iβm worried.
If Elon Musk and his unsanctioned team of techno thieves and pirates are interfering with any payments designated by Congress, thatβs a flat-out crime
And Democratic Attorneys General in every state need to prosecute them
π I fear youβre right. I feel like a lot of us are wondering what power is left. Which is why I thought maybe if the federal workers just stand their ground. They feel like a last line of defense if their bosses are all gone. I feel like I donβt know how to help either!
It canβt hurt to try and make them feel gross. I donβt think we should focus on psychopaths. But the people who thought no harm could come from Trumpβs re-election. Those people exist and they arenβt all bad. Ignorant and naive. But not bad or stupid. They need to hear what their votes have done.
One of my favorite things! You know where I learned about it? At Central when I was teaching!
Weβre already living in that scheme. Deep in it.
People who are being fired like this should just say NO. They should stay in their offices. Demand access to email and everything else and not go. We need people to stand their ground.
They should feel shame. They should see the people theyβre hurting and be ashamed. I hope sadness and guilt floods them. Share the stories of the people you see hurting and shame the hell out of the people who voted for these policies.
Remember when people told you nothing can be deleted once itβs on the internet? They meant that. π
It can take some finagling to figure out how to view things, but playing around will get you the info you seek. Just plop in the website you wished you could see again and it will tell you the dates it scanned it.
In these dark times when things are being scrubbed from government websites, Iβd like to introduce you to one of my favorite things: The Wayback Machine. It takes snapshots of websites at various times and you can view what a website looked like on days that they took snaps. Enjoy!

Or dismantling or selling to Russia or whoever else. Itβs only downhill from here.
This is how autocrats throughout history have endangered the people they govern by erasing factual information vital to health and well being

And you know someoneβanyoneβwho wasnβt involved in this decision will be blamed for the amount of available water in a few months. π
He doesnβt even have to go through scanners at government buildings. And he doesnβt have a badge. Someone needs to say NO to him.
This guy. We need to say goodbye in 2026. And we have to start now. He is bad for Texas and bad for the US.
