When you consider this work alongside the awesome volumetric ideas of @notsuspicioushq.bsky.social & @tovanbo.bsky.social it is like these developers are building for a mixed reality platform that isn’t architected (yet) just for these kinds of ideas.

When you finally catch wind of that bastard that tried to throw you off a mountain as a baby.
Someone wearing a device on the beach won’t be cause for concern because we’ll know how powerful and enriching the tool is.
In the future, I hope we use this technology to stay present in the real world while enjoying experiences that are only possible with natural input and scene awareness. And I hope we evolve our understanding of mixed reality devices to be more than escapism.
Someone said, “That’s sad” as they walked by. Why would I escape to the metaverse when I could be watching the beautiful sunset in front of me? I was wearing a Quest 3 with passthrough enabled, so they didn’t know I could see the sunset.
