Some random pictures I took in the Southern part of Nicosia, Cyprus.. despite the 50 years of separation, the terms Southern and Northern seem very irrelevant aside from maintenance issues. After a hopeful reunification I hope the EU and UNESCO pours in money into this beautiful and divided city.

In the US, first foreign policies are established and then presidents are elected. I don't think we can talk about a relationship here but a degree of manipulation based on how much weakness the other side has. We'd seen several examples of it in the previous Trump administration.

I don't think Cyprus would make this statement without a scenario for the reunification of Cyprus in the background being cooked up. Without a solution and Turkey's approval there's no way Cyprus would be able to join. Something in the horizon to sit and watch.
