HENRY IV Part One, HAMLET, TWELFTH NIGHT
LOL. I get irrationally annoyed about this too. To be fair, the TV specials sometimes retconned this very thing.
Perish the thought!
Love it. The evolution of the show over its four seasons (and, to be clear, I enjoyed all of them) is really something.
I sure hope my old friend Kit gets an Emmy nomination for this past season of INDUSTRY. Superb work.
I have not followed this Oscar season as closely as I usually do, but this was the most interesting SAG Awards in ages in terms of shaking things up, right?
It would make me so sad to write something that good, knowing full well that I'd peaked.
Oh, wow. Heartbreaking to hear about Robert Carradine and the end of his struggle with bipolar disorder. He was a gifted performer and by all accounts a really good dude. Rest in power, man.
'John and Paul: A Love Story in Songs' by @ianleslie.bsky.social is the best book about the Beatles I've ever read and I've read them all! Highly recommended for super-fans and casual fans, alike. Illuminating and deeply moving. (note: the Audible edition performed by Chris Addison is superb).
Ah! well, then… I guess i’d sub… ‘The Blues Brothers’
WTF?
My top 9: The Empire Strikes Back, Raging Bull, The Shining, Ordinary People, Airplane, The Fog, Stardust Memories, Heaven's Gate, Superman II
Robert Duvall as Gus McCrae in Lonesome Dove
Rest easy, Augustus.
Wow, Final Draft, it's so comforting to know that after all these years you'll still fucking "quit unexpectedly" between auto-saves resulting in ten minutes of lost work. Glad there are still some things you can count on in this profession.
Wild movie. That insane Kip Pardue trip-to-Europe montage, that smash to Erasure and the backwards end credits... love it
This could be surprising to some of you but as a young out-of-work actor in NYC circa 2003... I became an obsessive DAWSON'S CREEK reruns on TBS viewer.
The spec I wrote that got me GoT was basically a rip-off of DC's structure.
James Van Der Beek was a terrific, sincere, underrated actor.
Rest Easy.
Man, good for her. I sure as shit would CLEAN THE PLACE OUT.
Oh, yeah Spielberg and PTA for the win.
Co-sign
Agree

... This is so fucking depressing. And pointless. And cruel.
And I'm really worried it means he's gonna tear the building down and replace it with some gaudy monstrosity.
Only one of many, many, outrages in this day and age, but... as I said... I practically grew up there.
... attended their landmark rep season of Sondheim's work, wandered its beautiful halls and atriums, marveled at that amazing sculpture of President Kennedy. Was exposed to so many icons for the first time by watching the Kennedy Center Honors every year.... (cont)
Oh wow, I didn't know that...
