Just got my brand-new Durston X Dome 1+ tent! I'm beyond excited to take it for a test run in a couple of days.

After retiring from the Army a few months ago I decided to grow a beard, and holy cow is my beard comb my new best friend.

It certainly seems like the "meta" of posting is about either leaving twitter or how open bluesky feels.

I'm not sure if this will last forever, but my own personally cultivated twitter algorithm made for angry viewing and wasn't worth trying to fix.

The setup to one of the worst nights of backpacking I've ever experienced. Abandoned camp due to literally the worst swarm of mosquitoes I've seen in 15 years outdoors.

However, it led to the most haunting and beautiful 1 am hikes down a beach I'll ever have.
