Funny coincidence. I just got back from The Gundam Base in Tokyo, and I was looking for two specific gunplas, the Solari Zaku II and the new Gundam Zirius. I figured if they were anywhere, it would be at the base! Zirius is so new that none of the staff were aware of it, and both were online only. 😢
Being told to "clean your room" in childhood was actually an adult delegating their to-do list of what to clean next.

If I had to make a suggestion, I would say a nice gunpla toolkit to help someone get into the hobby with a HG model. They're allowed to pick a faction like Orb or Zeon, and you surprise them with a mobile suit of that group.

@gundampixel.bsky.social, have you read any of Gundam Eight yet? Honestly, I really like it. I don't have any favorite Gundams and I usually enjoyed the designs of antagonists like the Gouf and the Psycho Zaku. But this might be the first Gundam mobile suit, pilot, and team that I actually love.
@gundampixel.bsky.social I started watching Victory in snippets and just finished episode three. The series throws a lot of new names at the audience from the get-go, so I'm adjusting. I heard it's one of Tomino's darker works, but they weren't kidding. 🫤
Well, the difference I see is that the Japanese site is promoting events while the English version is pushing products. For the few weeks I've been living here in Japan so far, I've felt the consumerism difference that is evidenced in these pictures.
Thanks! I'm testing the waters in Sumida for a few months. This whole first week has been adjusting to just common hurdles. Coin laundries, food options, thinking in yen instead of dollars, etc. Typhoons these days, too!
