Made this quick sketch based off @temiree.bsky.social ‘s stream last night. He was playing Oregon Trail and apparently I seemed like an “oats kinda guy”. How dare. There are a couple more references to the stream here. At least I survived till the end.

It's not easy to illustrate something that I can feel with my other senses - I can smell the rain and feel the air getting colder on my skin looking at this. Very well done!

The scene depicts a flashback to when Nes and Shadow were in school together. It's long after school has been let out, and it's just Shadow and Nes waiting in the main hall of their elementary school, right inside the front doors, beyond the vestibule. Young Nes is wearing a blue jacket, light blue mittens, light grey jeans, winter shoes (made for anthros), and a black backpack. Little Shadow isn't wearing his jacket, nor his backpack, and has his usual torn light blue tank top and white jeans. Shadow looks down at Nes with a scowl, "Your Dad is gonna find out one day. That you're as pathetic as you look." Nes looks away, his ears down, trying not to look at him, making himself as small as possible so he'll be left alone. Shadow gets frustrated, and quickly reaches forward to snatch a strap of, pulling Nes towards him. Nes screams, and Shadow yells at him loudly, "LOOK AT ME!"

Ryan, an anthro/furry raccoon in t-shirt and shorts, grabs onto Karume, a Tarzan-like anthro lion, around his chest as they swing high through the jungle treetops, from vine to vine, as Karume takes Ryan back to civilization. Ryan is looking down with excitement, as though he was on a theme park right, and Karume looks up with determination as he grabs onto a new vine. Karume is wearing a torn loincloth, has thick, dark dreadlocks, and has vines wrapped around his wrists and ankles (with the ankles having a leaf attached). Karume also has a leaf sticking out of the hair on the top of his head, vines around his thigh holding a makeshift knife, and various tattoo-like markings. For example, a sun and crescent moon-combined marking on his shoulders. Behind them is the jungle, motion-blurred from how fast they are moving.

A PNGtuber costume for Tem, an anthro/furry otter. He's wearing a scoutmaster hat, jacket, backpack, tie, and a purple sash with a bunch of badges on it. "Djangerous" lmao I need to remember that for the next race

Djano, an anthro/furry brown wolf, looks up at daylight breaking through the top of a volcano, which he's climbing up through the inside of. One arm clings to a large rock he's climbing up, and the other swings out freely as he twists his body around. Streams of magma leak out of the rocks nearby as he looks up with a look of determination on his face, the flare he needs to summon the helicopter at the end firmly clenched in his teeth. His fur is rough and dirty from the race.

It's @djano.bsky.social racing up The Kiln in PEAK, which he requested as his prize for winning The Amazing PEAK Race II's solo race! He beat 17 others (again) to win this, so it was no easy feat. Congratulations! 🐺🌋

I feel like, for most people, AI is mild convenience or trivial fun at best. As soon as you shove a bill in front of them, one substantial enough to make these things profitable, they're getting up from their seat and not coming back.

I think nowadays, especially with the rise of AI slop, style is so much more important, and that comes from finding your unique voice with simplifying things. In the right hands, simplicity can feel incredibly sophisticated.
