I first read this script back in 2020 and it blew me away. It “came across my desk” again last year and it continues to be my favorite short script of all time. I can’t wait to see the film.
I set up facial recognition to unlock my laptop sans make-up. I’m now wearing make-up. My laptop no longer recognizes me.

If you have, or know of, a film or media project that fits the bill and is publicly available online, please send it my way for possible inclusion! I can’t think of any specific restrictions other than the subject matter but I think these can be narrative, doc, short, feature, web series, etc.
One way I’m trying to help spread awareness is by curating a collection of films and new media by and about members of the AANHPI community with a specific focus on mental health. The idea is that links to these films will be shared on socials and websites.
We’re excited to have partnered with the National AAPI Mental Health Association (NAAPIMHA) - @naapimha - for the 5th AANHPI Mental Health Day on Sat. May 10th!

in my decade of making AD I've learned a lot, but perhaps the most important lesson is: do not write, act, AND direct. one or all will usually suffer.

I did that thing today where I answered the phone and, as suspected, it was spam. And after listening politely for a couple minutes, I said, “Hello? Hello?” as if the service was cutting out (which it wasn’t) then I hung up. So yeah.
