As a patient, a NIH RECOVER rep, and founder of MaskTogetherAmerica, I also called and wrote to my Council Member @galeabrewer.bsky.social and Manhattan Borough President @bradhoylmansigal.bsky.social for their support of a proclamation of the International Long Covid Awareness Day in NYC.
We wrote to Mayor Mamdani @mayor.nyc.gov but no one has responded to our multiple letters. We wrote to Governor Kathy Hochul @governor.ny.gov and I talked to her staff a week ago but have not heard back. So I turned to other NYC elected officials.π§΅

Last night my #longcovid hypertension flared up, but I forced out smiles when taking selfies. β€οΈβπ©Ήπ I shared one of many concerns, but many more to go today. But happy to meet other masked patient representatives and researchers! π§΅
Blend quarter of π« +1 inch of ginger +1 inch of tumeric +one peeled lemon with 2 cups of water to make juice. I only drink 1/4 of this batch each day. My medical trial PI recommended this to me.
Julie is glad that sheβs wearing a mask on a flight with poor ventilation. CO2 level is at 1654 ppm. High CO2 level is a proxy for poor ventilation. She is flying American Airlines to Scottsdale for RECOVER planning meetings.
