they often tell you that they can't figure that out for you - go see xyz doctor and bounce you around or tell you to exercise more, drink water, do therapy, sleep more, etc., (newsflash i already do a lot of these things & many of those things are made hard by the chronic illness itself!!)
and all of that scheduling falls on the patient to coordinate between their primary care doctor and the specialists. and when you DO finally get ahold of someone a lot of times the wait for an appt is months to years in the future and often not that helpful when you do have it.
I wish I could even begin to help folks understand how exausting it is to be a chronically ill patient in america. I spend hours calling around offices who can't find my referral, can't take my insurance, don't call me back, and on and on and on 😅
