The first graders learned how to pronounce “jalapeño.” I learned the legislature needs to do a lot more to support our kids, in and out of the classroom.
Before I left, the kiddos promised they’d return the favor and read to kids in the future when they’re older. 📕 📕 📕
It sure would be swell if we had a Republican party that didn't insist on forcing America to repeatedly punch herself in the face.
The war in Iran will, however, succeed in raising prices, further isolating America from our allies, it has put our troops in danger, and increased the likelihood of a terrorist attack.
America has already spent $5.5 billion to try and distract people from him and all his buddies appearing in the Epstein files.
It didn't succeed.
I'm thankful to everyone who turned out to make my campaign kick-off a success! Together, we can restore Wisconsin's legacy of being a state that puts the people first.

Today, we introduced a bill that would create a public option for health care in Wisconsin. Passing this bill would move us closer to the point where we need to get to: where healthcare is a right for all and anyone can get the care they deserve without fear of going broke just so they can survive.

It’s not supporting the troops to send them off to kill and die in an illegal war of aggression whose purpose is to make sure that their votes don’t count.
Congress must end the illegal wars immediately.

With every new war they start abroad, as with every repeal of our constitutional rights, it's becoming clearer that the corrupt madmen running our country at the moment have no intention of stopping until the American people rise up and force them to do so.
The folks on the Epstein client list are doing a whole lot more to hurt Americans than anything the kids they just killed in Iran ever did.
Health care should be a human right,
not an excuse to gouge sick people for a profit.
We must fund our kids and stop penalizing schools for teaching students with disabilities.
If we are going to say that money is going to education, it should actually go to education.
The school levy tax credit does not meet that mark. Increasing the special education reimbursement actually would.

Our federal government killed a disabled genocide survivor and is covering up for a child rapist. And that is just today’s news. It is just unconscionable to be treating this as normal or acceptable in any way.

Last month, a Pennsylvania farmer rejected $15M from data center developers to sell his farmland.
Another in Wisconsin turned down $80M.
America's farmers and others across the country are pushing back on Big Tech.

It may take years to repeal the damage Robin Vos has done to Wisconsin. Today, we begin the crucial work to replace his cynicism with hope, his divisiveness with unity; and his hatred with love.

The fight for civil rights is ongoing. May we each find inspiration from Rev. Jackson's decades of leadership to step up our own efforts. We have so much work to do in the fight for economic opportunity, social justice, and civil rights.

The day we returned to the capitol after holding up the anti-worker vote, Rev. Jackson joined us for the homecoming.
As he did for millions of people before that, he inspired the crowd and framed our current fight in the larger battle for human rights. It was a moment I'll always cherish.
Rev. Jesse Jackson deeply cared about people and specifically, he cared about Wisconsin. His Rainbow Push Coalition is headquartered just south of us in Chicago.
In 2011, he came up to the capitol to draw attention to the anti-worker, pro-corporate antics of Scott Walker.

In reality, Wisconsin can and must be a leader in pursuing both advancing economic development while accelerating a just transition to affordable, reliable, clean energy in a way that does not harm residents, health, economic security or the environment.
