I should probably stop using the built-in script editor in Blender. I keep hitting backspace and deleting both highlighted lines of code and some object that I have selected

I got big money riding on this dog show
I was trying out the soft body modifier for the first time. First run, everything just collapses into itself on collision. Checked the boxes for edges and faces, changed plasticity, ran it again, and voilà.
Note: "today" was 6 days ago. And the mic noise at the video start isn't in the original!
Today I learned, in possibly the worst way, that the eyes of Suzanne (the beloved Blender monkey) are not attached to the rest of the head mesh...

Finishing this series was a personal goal. It's gotten me through a lot of turmoil, and provided that special kind of support that only grimdark can provide. Last month, I picked up a humble bundle of Black Library books, so the ride can go on. But for now, I'm celebrating a milestone.
During COVID, I read about Isstvan III being virus-bombed, the inescapable flesh change in the Thousand Sons, the noxious brews of the Death Guard -- Nurgle really turned up everywhere. It was uncomfortably comforting to read fiction where things were much, much worse.
Dan Abnett's afterword was incredibly touching. I started with Gaunt's Ghosts and Eisenhorn/Ravenor a long while back, so I'm fairly familiar with his style, and yet I'm always just blown away by his writing. Thanks to HH, now I have a whole bunch more new favorite authors in the Black Library
I did it! What a ride. Started the series in late 2018, so around 6 years since Horus Rising. I thought "well, let's see how I like this before I commit to the whole thing..." and then got immediately hooked.
I dreaded finishing The End and the Death Vol. 3, since that meant it would be over...
