Reading a book that I feel is objectively 1/5 and I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. I'll probably read it through the end just to see if it gets better but this reads like absolute utter dreck and I'm kind of floored it got published.

Had an interview some time last year, and I knew it wasn't going well when the interviewer asked about the kinds of publications I read, and I said Wired, and she was like "Yeah they do good work, but we don't like to be so negative"
I did not get a follow-up interview
Not sure if I have a lot of followers in SF, but if you live here, you can buy one of these beautiful pieces of art from a friend who's closing out her business. www.instagram.com/p/DVr8Ot_lOg...

One of my favorite parts of this whole thing is that it implies Rubio lied about his shoe size.
One day in the near future, saying that you have a popular substack will sound as absurd as saying you're huge on MySpace.
the WBC is incredible baseball, especially if you watch Pool C (the Tokyo Dome games). The sheer emotion of the players and the crowd is playoff vibes.
The tiebreaker points system is fucked but that's neither here nor there
i'll be so pissed if aussie wins lol
Gorillaz being on SNL is giving me major feels.
i am so hype about the WBC you have no idea. i've just been watching livestreams of people doing hitting practice in a language i don't understand.
The value proposition of a new iPad drops with the MB Neo. I was in the market for one (an iPad) and now I’m having second thoughts.
Yeah tbh, that's almost the same stats as my current MBA (8GB RAM, 512GB storage, but I only use about 100GB of it since 99% of my storage is cloud, M1) and it's still going strong. The Neo is pretty compelling ngl! If I was a student, I'd get this no question
lol that's almost the same as my current MBA (2020). I wonder how the A18Pro compares against the M1.
Instantly what I thought as well
Picture of Marjane Satrapi alongside a quote from her. The quote reads: The world is not divided into countries. The world is not divided between East and West. You are American, I am Iranian, we don't know each other, but we talk together and we understand each other perfectly. The difference between you and your government is much bigger than the difference between you and me. And the difference between me and my government is much bigger than the difference between me and you. And our governments are very much the same... - Marjane Satrapi, Iranian-French graphic novelist
Thinking about this quote from Persepolis creator Marjane Satrapi again.
Look, the La Taqueria food is good. It’s still not worth waiting an hour for. Just go to El Farolito. Ask for no rice if you’re a no rice guy.
really does feel like the christmas adventurers club runs everything
I made the obvious meme (Distracted boyfriend meme with Warner Bros, Paramount, Netflix) imgflip.com/i/al7gyi
The left is not "missing out" on AI. It's winning the argument. Americans worry about AI and dislike tech CEOs. They're mobilizing against data centers. They support regulation, even refusal.
Calls for the left to embrace AI are an effort to change the terms of the debate in Silicon Valley's favor.
Sometimes I get frustrated when Amazon sells a thing for far cheaper than the manufacturer. It makes me second guess the purchase and I end up not getting it altogether.
i genuinely get more health advice from the NHS UK site than any US-based site, which is telling and sad
what's it called when you're researching stuff for a story, you look at a result on google and go "oh that looks like a good one" and it turns out to be something you wrote
I think the Asian version of a PSL is a matcha latte. It’s basic, but it’s pretty good. (And just like PSLs, there are legit good matcha lattes and generic / bad ones)
more like arse wednesday amirite
*gets arrowed for horrible pun, also sacrilege, heresy etc*
Polaroid mini printer
