unfortunately nothing will change while media outlets are overwhelmingly owned by billionaires who will always care more about paying less tax than anything else. the next four/eight/indefinite years until trump dies are going to be awful for a lot of people. heart goes out to those impacted
we’re back in 2016/17 where people (media) will continue to believe and empower people with “plausible deniability” around dog whistle actions and so clearly demonstrating themselves to be in bed with the neonazis.
you’re telling me the apartheid emerald mining guy did a Nazi salute at the inauguration for the guy who didn’t denounce the KKK’s endorsement for him? im shocked
“Fascism, it’s always about using nationalism, and the nation, as a bludgeon to generate support for death policies, on behalf of death governments. For violence and repression and exploitation, internationalism is the antidote, always.” —Robin D. G. Kelley

Lucy Johnson, I wasn’t familiar with your game
i've often criticised sydney for not being "in touch" with the city they represent, so I'm a big fan of rhyan grant's choice of armbands this season, wore an Indigenous design against Mariners and the PFA's "Green Game" one today. hope he continues doing it.

Post from FIFPRO about Ellie Carpenter’s travel data the past year. She took 24 trips, totalling 184 hours in the air and 143,077km travelled.
FIFPRO (with data from Football Benchmark) says that Ellie Carpenter travelled 184 hours + 143,077 km - equivalent to 3.5 times around the world - in travel distance the past year. Between Jan-March, she played 6 games on less than 5 days rest. This is ABSURD.

Also very happy to see Woody amongst the goals, works so hard and puts in a ridiculous amount of pressing that goes unnoticed.
Really, really fun game at Kogarah. Enjoyable to watch such a young Sydney side that confident and that willing to make mistakes.
Devenish-Meares, btw, is worth a shout to start on Sunday. Looked so comfortable on the ball and chasing down players.
