Maybe we are still in a wait and see phase but the new Logan Square design seems like it’s going to create a lot of pedestrian/bike and car/bike conflicts. 😔

Yes! LA Metro, with D Line in Beverly Hills and the Downtown Connector, puts a rough estimate at $1B/mi for double-track tunnel, plus another $100M per station. This puts the core trunk line tunnel in the same general ballpark of RLE. Fleet, infill, extra lines, etc. add to that but it’s achievable.

That’s likely what I’ll end up doing. It’s not popping up at the suggestion in transit because the time is slightly longer than green + walk. But it’s a lot less walking.

Best option now: 15 min walk to Blue; Transfer to Green at Clark/Lake; 17 min walk from Roosevelt.

Versus 15 min walk to Clybourn. No transfer, 7 min walk to museum.

My residential neighbors did a mostly great job shoveling after this storm, but the strip mall with a gym, post office, swimming pool school, and restaurants nearby is completely uncleared more than 24 hours after the snow stopped. #PlowTheSidewalks
