Threads timed perfectly; musk on the weekend limiting tweet views after torching the place, Bluesky in beta, invite only and clunky, mastadon never really took off, Zuckerberg really had threads in the bag.
FYI: you can create an Insta alt to use in threads so you can keep your normal and twitter style social media seperate.

I 100% agree with this. And it has DM's. You can bag out data harvesting or whatever but unless they are stealing my identity I honestly couldn't GAF.

Like a process you go through after getting an adhd/autism/bipolar diagnosis. Things make sense but you also see time you lost when it didn't make sense.
I think there's a grief process you need to respect with a big diagnosis like that, grief for the past you who endured it rather than knowing what it was. I don't know how long that takes before you gently move to acceptance but I think it's a think. I hope you're ok x

I genuinely don't care who owns what app except for musk on twitter; my chosen platform will be whatever closest resembles pre-musk twitter takeover, ideally with a locked account option, DM's that you can close, include my online mates and properly moderated to stop hate.

we joke about it, but losing Twitter is significant. It’s been a vital platform for activists to organise, communities to build. It was The place for breaking news globally. It will be almost impossible to replace. The fact that its gone due to whims of megalomaniac child… is really sad
