reaching for the flip canvas button on my sketchbook; weeping, crying, shitting
This month Microslop broke my computer! Before that, I locked in a few more finished shots for jalei and they're beautiful or whatever

hi ! here's my latest

they should just try their best
i thought the meta was forceful/intentional misspellings and mispronunciations to drive engagement from comments correcting you anyway
its my fault for willingly clicking on shit that looks like this
every youtube video has to waste 20 seconds making a joke where they mispronounce some word and pretend they couldn't have just looked it up while recording, and it used to piss me off until I realized they're a really reliable way to tell that the thing you're watching is not entirely ai generated
I spent the holidays tinkering with a single background for my movie! I recorded a timelapse for patrons if u wanna see how I did it www.patreon.com/posts/decemb...
the baby goat was really sad though. that felt more important than the rest of the episode. Also the expression of culture that is immediately lost when the girl is plurbed. I said to myself, "aw man."
noticing a lot of dialogue choices designed to shut down conversation before it gets interesting and I suspect it's because the natural course of those conversations would lead away from where they're planning on going. Their other shows were really good at not doing this
really fucked with the idea of carol pluribus but I think a lot of writing contrivances are letting her and the whole show down. (mostly the windfall and eggs stuff). She cant ask the obvious follow-up "can you get stem cells any other way" because the next 3 eps depend on her feeling a certain way
Boundless
i will probably never watch it
I also like other shows too. I like the wire and the sopranos and twin peaks and game of thrones and emily in paris and all that shit
i think that was how breaking bad was written too. "that would be crazy" and then just following it all the way down
I think we'll probably see a lot of different sides to carol before the show is over and we'll find out who she really is. We already have seen her change a lot. I know who she is. Shes a gay fantasy writer who wanted to write about gay shit. I wonder if she'll pick that up again
"themes" and characters can like, feed into each other, but characters are just way more complex than a handful of vague ideas. Better call saul is about a lot of things broadly, but it's mostly about a very weird guy dealing with very specific circumstances. His decisions push and pull him around
Pretty clear by now that pluribus is not a "puzzle box" but I see a lot of people treating it almost like a "thematic" puzzle box where you're supposed to figure out whether the show is about AI, economic systems, individualism vs collectivism, or whatever. You should be focusing on characters.
lastly, the reasonable thing to do would have been to change the dedicated horse whistle button into a menu for the sages, but the way they handled them is extremely funny so I wouldn't do that.
i need crap to not pay attention to while im working!
i know nintendo isnt known for their stories but man. I was actually shocked. It feels like the writers had ideas for story stuff but someone higher up told them that open-world games have to be structured a certain way and just fucked it all up. I have no idea
There were like 10 shrines with little platforms floating down rivers or giant gears, and the obvious solution is to just reverse time on them and hop on. But if you didn't have the time power, suddenly you're forced to get creative with whatever powers or items you do have. no arbitrary limitations
Most shrines are so open-ended they wouldn't even need to change much if at all, but it turns the powers into huge rewards that let you cheese shrines or melt enemies, instead of just cheesing everything from the get-go. The orb cost forces you to engage with at least some shrines on their level
just spitballing but: a version of Totk where instead of getting the 4 abilities at the start, you only get ultrahand, and the other 3 (+ a new one?) are the focus of each of the dungeons. But you can't just enter a dungeon, you need to spend spirit orbs to get in? or whatever they were in totk.
