After a few months of solo adventures, deliberation and soul searching, I decided to plunge head first into #EliteDangerous PowerPlay. My choice - Alliance, Nakato Kaine - mostly for ideological reasons. A new chapter of my Elite: Dangerous journey opens up, who knows what will happen next... o7

Looks like I, or some other CMDR, broke #EliteDangerous. There are currently two Fleet Carriers with ID W4H-GVZ, which should be unique. The game will probably be fine, but #Inara and other third-party tools might need to take this into account. If it happened once, it might happen again.

Yes. Worker Bee is the Type-9 assigned to the fleet carrier operations. I have other T9s in different systems in the Bubble so I don't need to lug them around all the time. #EliteDangerous

This means that you can place a Fleet Carrier much farther from the Minerva system than you would otherwise. As long as you have an engineered Type-9, jumping to a system 25LY away in both directions is a breeze. And you avoid congestion and traffic in surrounding systems. #EliteDangerous

I'm using Worker Bee, a Lakon Type-9 with 788 tons of cargo space to haul commodities for the CG. It has 27LY range unloaded, 15LY range fully loaded. What's neat is that when you buy commodities on a Fleet Carrier, they don't show up in your cargo until you look at the market again. #EliteDangerous

In the Jellyfish Nebula you can find a populated system with Beta Site, an asteroid star base. #EliteDangerous

While exploring for the current CG, on my way to the Jellyfish Nebula I discovered a small, cozy system with 17 exoplants in total on various moons, worth ~450m CR. I named the first gas giant "Coffee Jelly". #elitedangerous #exobiology #saikik #coffee

Yes, I know about FSS and honking. :-) But if you want to grab first footfall, you have to get to the celestial body somehow, and decelerate properly. Landing and takeoff still take time. #EliteDangerous

I got first discoveries, mapping and footfalls in two systems now, but due to long time I'll probably won't do that again for some time. Just focusing on interesting places like landable celestial bodies with atmosphere will be enough for now. Time to head back to the Bubble. #EliteDangerous

I explored both systems but learned some things in the process. It takes hours to fully map all planets and moons, and get first footfall on each; mostly due to deceleration. Even with SCO-enabled FSDs we need to decelerate, which takes time. Otherwise, we can just add a new crater. #EliteDangerous

And then, before the system with the Green Gas Giant, I discovered another star system, 'Thaileia FB-G b30-7'. What's amazing to me, is that this one is right beside the system with one of public POIs, but was just sitting there. It shows that undiscovered systems are all around. #EliteDangerous

Funny thing happened on my way to Virescent Wonder - I discovered a new system. I didn't plan on it, it just sort of happened on its own. It's not a really remarkable system, but 'Thaileia FU-Z c16-46' is my first, and will be forever. #EliteDangerous

Over about 4 hours, I finished exploring the Byeia Euq MS-U d2-30 system. Most of the planets were not even discovered, got a nice ~4.3M CR payout. And the one moon with life, got me 64M CR bonus from first discovery of a Stratum Cucumisis. #EliteDangerous #Exobiology
