Day5: Hug a Custom’s Broker. It’s easy to forget that there are real people affected by the tariff chaos. Real companies who owe nothing at 8:59 and tens of thousands at 9:01. Who didn’t budget for madness. YES- American companies DO pay the tariffs and for smaller businesses, it may sink them.

Best thing I’ve done to deal with the current madness was to subscribe to Heather Cox Richardson’s newsletter. She gives the historical context and helps me to interpret the news each day. Today’s good thing is to promote someone who is doing amazing work.
I’m on a quest not to let political overwhelm stop me from taking concrete actions. Today’s action was posting my reasons for leaving Facebook and joining Bluesky.
