Common sense: Elected officials shouldnβt be able to use insider information to line their pockets on prediction markets.
Letβs get my bill passed and BAN this corruption!
Weβre coming together again on March 28 to make it clear to Trump that his fear and intimidation arenβt working. In America, we have NO KINGS and power still belongs to the people. app.sosha.ai/s/MmrLFs3x

Day 7: Todayβs Good Things 1) Refuse to let the news shut me down. 2) continue to find sources I trust - NY Times The Morning publication and @markruffalo.bsky.social are todayβs sources 3) hug my kid because I canβt control the news but I can love those around me. Read more at klgoing.substack.com

Also, the whole supply chain is affected by this instability, not just the people dealing directly with the tariffs.
This pic is my husband who is a Customβs Broker dealing with the craziness before Section 122 begins on 2/28.
Day5: Hug a Customβs Broker. Itβs easy to forget that there are real people affected by the tariff chaos. Real companies who owe nothing at 8:59 and tens of thousands at 9:01. Who didnβt budget for madness. YES- American companies DO pay the tariffs and for smaller businesses, it may sink them.
I started a Substack to chronicle this journey. You can check out my first entry at klgoing.substack.com where I talk about how this commitment started with my battle against overwhelm.
This site helps me understand the roots of the current problems we face. Also, we forget our past far too quickly. Todayβs post from Eji: on this day Trayvon Martin was fatally shot. π
Day4: Sign up for daily emails from the Equal Justice Initiative on the history of racial injustice.

Heather Cox Richardson recommends Joe Rogan. I support NPR. Would love your recommendations below!
Day3: act of resistance today is to find and support multiple trustworthy news sources. Ive already mentioned Heather Cox Richardson, but Iβm also looking to others who are well versed, intelligent people and then Iβm stealing their ideas of who to follow. (looking at you @timojhill.bsky.social)
Twitter: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (HBO)
John Oliver discusses how an already flawed Twitter got worse under Elon Musk, how it continues to impact us all, and what it has to do with the 30-40 trillion cells humans are composed of. Wait, what? π

I also bought 5 copies of Democracy Awakening and gave them away to others with the request that they pass them along when theyβre done.

Best thing Iβve done to deal with the current madness was to subscribe to Heather Cox Richardsonβs newsletter. She gives the historical context and helps me to interpret the news each day. Todayβs good thing is to promote someone who is doing amazing work.
Iβm on a quest not to let political overwhelm stop me from taking concrete actions. Todayβs action was posting my reasons for leaving Facebook and joining Bluesky.
