I have a character sheet that I've put all that onto and it is still much sleeker and simpler. Plus domains introduce 2 new options each when you level so that information stays minimal (vs lets say a bard level up in DND where you suddenly have a dozen new spells).

Ran session 0 Monday and they loved the connection questions and the map building. Also got the hang of a small combat relatively quickly 😁

Wild that you don't seem aware of how many awful DND tables exist. Scan reddit or chat with other players you know and it should be very clear how untrue this is. You seeing possible misuse in DH very much ignores the hundreds of DMs actively misusing their roles in DND.
I mean... I can't imagine people watch them play DND and think that's all DND can play like. Again I follow the rationale but allocation of time and money can also be a concern
Didn't expect you to be in my DH feed today but that's awesome! Starting my DH campaign Monday and the system is incredible. Snuck it into the last sessions of my dnd campaign and very well liked there as well
I don't disagree, but when one of those projects is their flagship it does make me worry that DH will be secondary. I think they are and can work on both, but I am moderately worried that it will become easy over time to sideline DH.

Agree with the sentiment but Faolyn on the DH Reddit has an impressive number, a good number coming from DND. Felt much better about my campaign after finding these.

I was worried those two things would come across as unrelated but that's exactly what I mean! The number of people I know who watch D20 or listen to Daddies or NADDPOD is much higher for each than people I know who watch CR. I'd also be curious if BLM brings DH to D20 given his use of Kids on Bikes.
Can we pretty please stop claiming CR is the definitive TTRPG stream? If nothing else the sheer volume of references to Mark Mercer and AG doll shoes in everything of theirs I see should make it clear they do not have this monolithic market share people want to attribute to them.
My spicy take: yes I'm upset that Critical Roll isn't using #Daggerheart. I've heard the arguments and I can understand them but it does feel like a slap in the face.

Absolutely sobbing. He's so genuine and seems like the most pure soul on cast and he deserves all of it and more. Given the number of times we've seen him give money away to support others, I'm so glad he received the same support when he needed it.
Yes! It's weird to have character backstories in things like prewrites because they almost CAN'T have significant impact. But I love that the frames do have an ending in mind as well so there's a clear sense of direction and not just a setting.
Daggerheart emphasizes a narrative game by realizing that players need space to interact freely with the world.
It's pure genius, especially compared to adventures like Waterdeep which needs so much fixing that lovely people like the Alexandrian have graciously taken on.
