This month's newsletter brings on the heat!

Welcome to Waxing Moon

A wise many people on some other realm once said: Don't forget to like and subscribe!!!
Embrace thine hat, and the hat shall embrace thou...
Nemuri, forever trapped in her hat.
What do you do in this situation

We're approaching the end of the month, so here's this one's newsletter!

Nemuri and Rico (Yes that's the octopus' name) freaking out over 100 wishlists
Riftaway has reached 100 wishlists!!! Some will say that's nothing, or that those don't turn into sales, or that I'm hearing voices and I should take my meds!!1!
But now for real, it's crazy that anyone remotely cares for my silly game, let alone 100 people, so thank you <3

A shrimp with incredible aura
The shrimp does not concern itself with physics

I like making my notes on paper because then I can draw sillies next to them

A small newsletter before the end of the year :>

Here's another screenshot in higher res in case the other was too butchered
Riftaway as displayed in a normal screen
Riftaway displayed through a CRT filter (ShaderGlass)
It's honestly crazy how much more organic can some retro games feel just by putting a CRT effect/filter on your screen, without even tweaking the settings (If compression isn't killing the image that is-)

The page is officially out on #Steam!!! Go check it out!

I am aiming for "Easy to learn, hard to master" when it comes to movement, I am in love with the stuff you can do in Mario Odyssey while still being enjoyable by everyone :>
I made it so you can yeet your cloak and grab it mid-air to make some cool movement :>

A simplified, black and white image of a shrimp wearing a witch hat.
I've finally gone and made myself a logo/icon! Also, I've finally made myself a steamworks account so expect to be able to wishlist Riftaway as soon as I figure it all out :P

I can't take this job seriously...

Not really related with game making but damn, this Air Ride machine-making thingie is very fun lol
I tried making an idle animation for Nemuri (The main character of my game) after seeing Mario Galaxy's but I don't think I've rigged this model well enough for sitting ๐ซ

Also, managing various socials is hard ouch, so have this screenshot of what I've been working on (Still super early) for world 1 of Riftaway that I forgor to post here #indiedev #indiegame
Just to be clear I have played these games already (Except one oops), but I wanna run through them again with a more analytic view and making literal notes about them.
Also the demo for Riftaway should still come by the end of the year this won't affect that (I hope...)
My notes, citing all the games I'm planning to play so far on this "field trip"
Thinking about it, I've been practicing a lot but left studying behind. That is to say, I'm basically going on a "field trip" to study level design, so I apologize if this becomes now like one of those art accounts that are posting game screenshots 90% of the time lul #indiedev
Ngl seeing the trailer I made get almost 100 views on Youtube gives me hope but it also makes me feel like this one image. Anyhow here's the link if you want to inflate that number! :>

Kasane Pearto
The objective best thing about being and indie developer is that you can hide Pearto in some random corner of the map that no one will ever find and without anyone telling you no
I've made a trailer for my first game! Go check it out
