My theory:
Macro people look at crude markets (over supplied, fairly benign)
Energy people look at product markets (oh god did another refinery just blow up?)

This is an extraordinary thread of the type that if you encountered someone saying in the local pub you would probably mark them out as under informed and a bit racist.
From a leading poltician it speaks of both wilful ignorance and an astonishing lack of thought
However did do that jump in one morning

New blog by my Nesta colleagues: what does the latest price cap announcement mean for heat pumps and electrification?
The elec:gas price ratio falls from 4.7 to 4.3, thanks to the government's changes in the budget last year (though still far too high. Also, standing charges are falling.
It also how the system of privatisation has played out
This is mostly a unit rate cut for electricity which means electric only houses with high usage are the big winners. (more so as warm home discount moves to the standing charge).
This is good. Closes the spark gap and aids those who lost our over last 5 years.

I want to send my personal congratulations to Lord farquaard on their new job writing headlines for the daily mail
Interesting post about the coordinated anti-AOC smear campaign. It's 2016 again! Fake local news outlets on Facebook getting picked up until eventually it winds up in the Washington Post.
Was he not fired for corruption a few years back?
Lots of worry and misery in the world but Australia lost in the cricket again so there's that.
I find this article persuasive. I know from my own anti-fascist organising that many left-wing Jews - including many who have been extremely vocal against Israel's actions in Gaza, turning up at protests week after week, having many difficult conversations - have a complex relationship with Zionism.
Never missing an option to trip over their own feet in such a manner that they mange to kick themselves in the head and the butt.
A worthy idea for market reform and one that arguably reduces system cost and simplifies the system.
I had not realised that the capacity market had never been used
In 2018 saw David Hirch give a talk at a Euopean Jewish conference in Prauge on antisemitism in Europe. Spent the entire talk on Corybn the rising far right threat in Europe did not even get a passing mention.
To clarify Zack is really not antisemitic.
While we strongly believe this is not the intention of the proposers, this motion would cause disciplinary action to be taken by the party against Jews because they are Jewish. It can't become party policy.
Jews would rightly see this as an attack on right to be Jewish in the Green Party. Zionism a wide ranging belief set comparable to being English this motion the equivalent of taking the EDL defination of Englishness and using it to proscribe the entire identity.
It can not pass.
I believe Jews should live equal and free with Palestinians this could be a Zionist belief and mean I could be expelled from the party.
A risk that I would not face as a non Jew.
I attended my first pro-Palestine protest with my Zionist youth movement. I have attended 30 since then as a Zionist and nonzionist. This motion would mean attending these would be expellable.
I attend synagogue most weeks at reform Zionism movement. This could become expellable.
Jewish Greens have come out opposing Zionism is racism.
Since 2018 I have worked with Jewish Green to keen Green members safe and ensure the party cannot to be falsely accused of antisemitism.
This jeopardises all these efforts.

What the heating at the moment
What measures are you doing
This is quite exciting
Large offshore wind one of few renewable sectors not dominated by China but China is the biggest installer of capacity domestically.
So wrong in all counts
I really hope that the answer to both questions is no and they can return to the tranquility which they previously inhabited
This is maybe one of the most stunning levels of entitlement I have ever seen
BREAKING: UK govt auction secures 4.9GW new solar at Β£65/MWh and 1.3GW new onshore wind at Β£72/MWh, 13% and 21% below the price cap respectively.
All due online by 2029.
The lesson of early 20th century is that the safety of Jews depends a liberal state and human rights and our greatest risk is unchecked authoritarian state.
The Board of Deputies have looked at this and chosen to be more afraid of people with paint than an overmighty state.
The BOD continues to find the worst possible way to represent British Jews.
Jury discretion is a key part of British justice and a check of authoritarian government control.
