The term ‘pansy’ is offensive within history and derivative from an insult towards queer people put putting love into each flower within its creation and giving them out shows that everyone deserves love on Valentine’s Day.

Pansy is also the birth flower of febuary.

Here’s a little collaborative project I did with my friend in uni. During the season of love February, I gave out wire pansies to fursuiters during mancfurs to show that love is welcoming and deserving, even queer people.

I’ve taken the marginalised identity of his work and turned it into an actual homoerotic painting like what it was possibly trying to become at a time of law and virtue, I’ve taken his piece and put furries within it because furries are seen as a welcoming community.

Within Britain homosexuality was very illegal at the time but the painter Tuke was apart of this collection of men who did classical depictions of men and wasn’t considered queer but instead seen as someone trying to mortilize youth.
