Will say this ultimately turned out to be the absolute best case scenario for me, will reduce my commute significantly as FNS moves from Alexandria to DC or Beltsville. Still indignant about the way folks in other agencies at the South Building are being treated

Estrada is wiry but not short, pretty similar body type to Jeremiah Jackson but with plenty of space to grow. Defense wasn't really noticeable to me last season in AA one way or the other, but playing next to Butterworth who's probably a double-plus shortstop can't hurt

He was pretty significantly taller than Brandon Butterworth, who'd be a top-100 prospect if he was Estrada's height

Lots of narratives discounting Aron Estrada because he's short and his updated height is 5'11", which is actually taller than I thought (but more in line with my own observations than his previous 5'8" that people were using in their reports)

Nobody is even aware these votes take place except Congress themselves (who spend too much time thinking about how people will react, because they overwhelmingly don't know or care) and sickos looking to get mad about them. They literally don't matter at all

If you're at the airport and Kristi Noem is doing the ominous little message from the TSA screens, you no longer have to do anything she says. Leave your laptop in the case, whatever.

Mexico in the World Cup gets really cool Nahuatl-inspired pink and white uniforms. Mexico in the WBC gets Santa's elf uniforms with a McDonald's M on the hat

The USA WBC uniforms and hats are so tacky. Basically every uniform in the WBC looks low-effort, like they ordered Little League uniforms on DHGate. Israel and the Netherlands at least have ok hats. I don't know why the rest feel the need to remind you what letter their country starts with

Analyst: Sir, all is go but we still need to disable the statisticians. They might be trouble in some tail scenarios.
Chief: Agreed. What do you suggest?
Analyst: I know just the thing...

It's also not cumulative, and the W in WAR is plural. I'm also skeptical of the construction of an "expected" mean outcome that is being measured against when, as you note, there's very little correlation between events. It's straightforward to do mathematically, but that doesn't mean you should

Reminds me of the late life Gene Wolfe book where Europe is under shari'a law and black people do voodoo and raise zombies, and the one Asian character is constantly described as a World War 2 propaganda film caricature

The Irish baseball commission requires national team players to have an Irish passport and heavily favors players who came through their domestic academy. Essentially they just don't want to compromise Irish baseball by giving Kevin McGonigle and Ryan O'Hearn spots just to qualify for the WBC

Unions have failed pretty miserably to expand from the fortress when they've tried in recent years. They've basically lost every high-profile campaign, and the few that succeeded (Starbucks, NY Amazon warehouse) had their union implode and never got a contract. But, sure, general strike

The general strike stuff is honestly so impossibly stupid that it should be disqualifying, and the stuff about parliamentary procedure comes off bad when you are interviewing for a job you clearly know nothing about. This interview was a really bad look, and I was coming to respect her more.
