Say it’s negative, and we’re back to the drawing board with these fuck ass symptoms. She’s on gabapentin right now but I hate that too because she’s just hella sedated and it makes me MORE nervous laying with her and noticing every little twitch and thinking it’s the worst possible case.

Say it is positive. Then we take her off the methimazole, and her ONLY treatment for the hyperthyroidism is the $3.5k iodine radiation treatment. But with the MG, she will be on life long meds to manage the brain/nerves and it’s very likely she won’t live more than two years max.

It might be what’s called myasthenia gravis. So I took her back today to get that blood test done. Results won’t be back for over a week. On one hand, if it’s positive; yay we finally have a result. But fuck, that comes with a slew of new problems.

Parbs didn’t eat yesterday morning and she was hiding under the bed. So I took her to the vet, originally it was another “we don’t know” but I’m glad I spoke up. She’s only had these symptoms since starting her pills for the hyperthyroidism. Doc took time to read into rare side effects and -
