one thing that ppl extremely miss in this whole debacle is that trans issues were largely not legislated until super recently. obama's second administration implemented new federal pro-trans policies, some states followed, and then the reactionaries started legally banning everything
i don't care about any arguments against this. right now the sum total of my political advocacy is: crush the Republicans and make them pay. i don't care what comes after because until we do that nothing better is possible.
If a Dem victory in the mid-terms just leads to a series of hearings that make good content for social media and not much else things aren't going to get better. Accountability needs teeth, not likes.

As a person who was raised in evangelicalism, I have a hard time explaining to people that evangelicals seriously worship death and want nothing more than the literal end of the world. It’s not a performance. They desire the literal end of human existence.
It’s Inevitable, if you hand power to members of a death cult, whether it’s MAGA or evangelicals or fascists, that they will destroy your country and if given the chance the world. There’s no navigating it, no avoiding it other than to keep them from power indefinitely.
