"He's big and EVIL and SO FULL OF HATE-"
Me:
GOD I hope they don't kill or pull out Jan's teeth after he sees the error of his ways. This boy is so refreshing.
...though what followed was my Sonic OC era.
Yeah, obviously. This book was like a hand grenade, tossed into the psyches of young artists. It took a couple of years, but I broke out of it eventually.
The DAMAGE this thing did to my drawing style for YEARS cannot be measured in any human standard.
God I WISH I had my oldest digital art. Also MS paint from the ye olde year of 2003. It was pretty much exactly what you did. I kind of love how many of us have these roots of drawing scuffed manga style characters in paint.
Tonight in RP: The return.
BOOMTEC found themselves in an unnatural storm. The magics around Siren Isle had gone haywire and the company had to evacuate. Along with their Blood Elven allies, they boarded the patchwork Bilgewater zeppelin and made to escape! But... It would not be EASY.

Oh and the Foreman threw a pizza party for the employees that had been to hell and back during this cursed expedition.

Afterwards, we retreated to the apartment of one of our members.
Gridcog was invited to the workshop, where their host, Jerin Boltwrench, shared his plans for an Order magic powered weapon that could be used against the Void. Gridcog agreed to work on this together.
4/5
The Elves left immediately, while we rushed to the teleporter to whisk us to Undermine. We managed to meet up with a member of the BOOMTEC Board of directors, who gave us the brief on the situation.
The Foreman also had a brief word with the Board member about important things.

BOOMTEC somehow managed to dock safely in Dornogal. The zeppelin was... In shambles. But htta did not matter now, as Dornogal seemed... Empty.
And as we returned to our Dornogal HQ, we met a fellow company member who told us that... The Void was besieging Eversong...

The supernatural storm was almost as destructive as the magic incident on the night of BOOMTEC's premature departure from Dornogal, but with a massive team effort, they managed to escape the storm... Only losing the propeller of the zeppelin and ALMOST crashing on Khaz Algar. No biggie.

Appreciated! I tried to bet as close to the OG without being a direct ripoff to stay tasteful, hence the darker color scheme and lack of pants.
I love those little chibis
I WISH I still had my oldest digital work, because those were some incredibly crusty "How to draw Manga" looking monstrosities. I have so much physical art left from art school, but scanning all that crap would take a million years, even if it is neat to look through.
Digital artists, share your first digital art and year vs. now
My OLDEST digital pieces are long gone when I nuked my Deviatart at a dark point in my life where I thought I'd never draw again, but there's some survivors. The lineart was always hand drawn and colors done digitally during this time.
I love that Filo didn't say a single damn thing to us cause we're old as hell. Just did the favor of letting the girls say their last goodbye and went to chill in the hot spring.
Ultimate Zul'jin fanboy and Zul'jan crony. I ALSO love this guy.
Okay, that clears that one up. It was mostly Kinduru's relation the family that was confusing, since there were conflicting lore bits. But the dev involved with all that said to go with the short story that called him Man'ye's brother, for now.

Just in time, as the crystal reacted violently. The soul of the world crying in fear as the tomb rumbled around us. We escaped that place, to find the Siren Isle wracked by an outstanding storm. We had to leave, NOW. The company returned to the zeppelin to make preparations to escape the storm.
5/6
The final chamber housed a massive Worldsoul shard. A crystal brimming with light. After some back and forth, the crystal showed us visions. Our past. Our losses, our victories... And then, a vision of Eversong, with darkness encroaching... We had a new direction.
4/6
Finding our way blocked to the main chamber, we headed down two side corridors. At the other end, we completed a magical ritual. On the other, one of our members had to make his way through a web of magical beams and activate an enchanted slab. These two tasks oepned the way to the MAIN CHAMBER
3/6
The hum of the Radiant Song led us to a cavern that housed an ancient slab, which when touched by our Earthen friend, transported us into an ancient Titan/Vrykul tomb. We began carefully exploring the place, happy that the Worldsoul memories were not attacking us.
2/6
BOOMTEC has been using an Azerite core and a recent hire in the form of an Awakened Earthen who has a connection to the Worldsoul as a kind of all-in-one tracker and transmitter for the worlds visions. Tonight, the Azerite core began to lead us somewhere important.
Tonight in RP: Revelations
Foreman Gridcog was finally able to rejoin BOOMTEC Inc on their expedition on the Siren Isle. The company had followed a vague vision from the Worldsoul itself here and tonight, they would come closer to the true essence of what that means than ever before.

Alright my friends, Midnight is out, the Amani are here, and we have so many cool cosmetic pieces to up our mog game.
SHOW ME YOUR TROLL MOGS!
Completely fresh look? Nothing new? I don't care. I wanna know what do you have cookin'!
AMANI DI CHUKA!!!
I've been very Amani pilled by Midnight so this guy is very dear to me right now. I purposefully kept the colors very muted to make that shadowy "blade in the dark" theme stand out. That of course is combined with the obvious Zul'jin idolization in the look, making this guys loyalties pretty clear.
That in turn could be a punishment for someone else, being made to take care of the punished. Maybe similar to the Vol'jin and Tyrathan situation. Maybe a warrior trainee who is too brutal and inconsiderate of the Trolls around them would be made to take this role to learn humility in that way.
Yeah, I think that is definitely part of the "lesson" here as well. Pain is probably whatever for these guys, but the daily checkup and spoon feeding must be the real punishment.
