OTD in 1944, Anne Frank and her family were deported to the Westerbork transit camp in the Northeastern Netherlands. Transit camps were the camps were people were sometimes sent after their arrest. They were temporary holding camps for people destined for other places, in this case Auschwitz. 🧵

Guys, the FAA published a rule mandating this exact thing in 2010. It was to become active in January 2020. Here's the Advisory Circular from 2012.

Congress passed a law in 2018 that gave the military a carve out. The FAA had no choice - it had to permit military exemptions.

This is on Congress.
