I don’t have a garden myself, but I love gardening, so I’m always trying to mooch off the garden space of those that underutilize their own and I highly recommend it

Those are very rough estimates, I had to make a LOT of assumptions that probably don’t hold up, math isn’t my forte, and it’s not necessarily very representative bc it was one study area, but given all the studies, it’s pretty clear they are magnitudes more dangerous than other breeds
I tried doing some math and ~20% of all the bites by known breeds were by pit bulls, so if that ratio were the same for the group of bites where breed was not listed or unknown, then it would be ~0.56% of pit bulls in this study area bit a child during the study period (between 2013-2018)
In one study, it was at least 0.2% of pit bulls in their study area put a kid in the hospital, but they didn’t record the dog breed responsible in 61% of bite cases, so it’s probably a bit higher
Among known breeds they are responsible for the most bites and BY FAR the most severe bite injuries

The feds really started cracking down a few years ago on people buying sunscreens with newer filters from abroad, so it’s very difficult to do and legitimate sellers aren’t going to be shipping Euro or Asian formulations to the US
Also be aware the Korea had a major sunscreen issue a few years ago
As someone from a long line of people very prone to skin cancer and quite literally allergic to the sun, the US constantly kneecapping itself when it comes to sunscreen is insane to me

I had dozens on my swamp milkweed plants last year and I do not think a single one became a butterfly. I checked them every day and the caterpillars would get huge and fat and then just disappear 😭

I’m not as smart as the Fever’s coaching staff, so all I can say is that I think they’ve created an extremely versatile lineup and they really seem to be getting to the point where you can plug almost anyone in and they can get into a rhythm
