nor do i wish to uphold any of his views. but his work when detached somewhat influenced my works aswell.
i think this is more just my thoughts on it, i do agree with your point in some ways though

some people also dont fund that art, moreso commit piracy or view/enjoy that art without payment to the author
for example, i do listen to kanye west's graduation (2007) sometimes via a flac copy i have on my pc which doesn't give any streaming profits to ye. i do not support any of his actions-

art is fluid, and sometimes art isnt always a complete extension of an artist and can fit different moldings of people
it really also depends on the flaws or problems of that person. something like isolated views is one thing but criminal conduct or abuse is another

i think its more that art can be enjoyed without personal beliefs of decisions of the creator or any idea of the creator itself influencing that enjoyment or admiring art or creations. i do see your point as it can be used for creations by genuinely shitty people (e.g. viper or emily youcis)
