The deep cold of February called for an aquatic king. I chose the Tylosaurus for this month in my paleo calendar because it's one of my favorite pieces from the past year and this final stretch of winter can be the most challenging.

Styracosaurus lived during the Late Cretaceous in North America. The arrangement of very long, 4-6 spikes protruding from its relatively short frill and long nasal horn is characteristic of this species

My aim was to infuse some color and escapism into the year's gloomiest month. I could not have predicted how brutal this particular January was going to be, so I hope these dinosaurs offered a few moments of visual relief from the horrors of the world.

January is nobody's favorite month, which is why I selected these stylish sauropods as the first entry in my 2026 calendar. Initially created as a commissioned painting for a local client the previous holiday season, this piece quickly became a favorite addition to my growing library of Paleoart.

New material of Ajkaceratops cements its identity as a ceratopsian, but adds a new wrinkle. It turns out that many european ornithischians previously classified as iguanodontians may actually be ceratopsians! New paper by @tweetisaurus.bsky.social et al., that I provided art for (link in reply).
